Do you know anything about foriegn coins?

So I have tried to research this, but I really can't find any specifics. Does anyone have any knowledge of this coin or it's worth? Any imput would be helpful! Thanks ATOT! Wish I had better pics.

Greek old coin replica. I think it's an old drachme. A drachme was what a labourer would earn in a day. If it's not a replica, you're rich, because this coin's in good state.

This old man was a customer at my old job. He has given me many old coins and antiques. I do believe that it's an original, but of course I am not positive. How could I tell if it is real or fake?

If it's an original, the man gave away a fortune. Give him some, then .

If it's a replica, you'll see some mark or something.. Look for it.. I could post a pic of some of my Roman coin replica's.

hmm I don't think it's a dove, but yeah some kind of bird. It's about the thickness of a quarter, not real heavy, and a little bigger than a quarter.

I'm sorry to say but I think these are replicas. If you look here you can see auctions for original greek coins. Some of the coins match the face but none match the back. If you also look your coin has a "lip" around the edge like modern quaters but none of the coins sold in the auction have one.

I'm not an auctioneer nor a coin expert, but I did use google...

It's most definitely based on a coin from Tyre, Phoenicia. It's a silver Shekel. The bird is an eagle.

Well I cannot be certain, there's still the possibility it's genuine. I just think by it's condition it looks too good to be real but who knows. You'd have to take it to a coins expert to find out. Maybe take it to a local coin dealer, should be able to determine if it is fake or not rather easily.
