How many people know their blood type? I don't. Always wanted to know. And now that I think of it. I had a full blown blood test and I might have been able to find out when I had that done. This summer I suppose I'll have another blood test. I'll have to ask my Doc if he can tell me my blood type.

Hospital should be common sense... just about everyone knows where they were born. Seems like it would come up. Then its on the birth certificate too, which is used for a form of ID, at least starting out.

What does being on a birth certificate matter? Mine stays in a safe, and the only time I've ever used it in my adult life is to get a passport 5 years ago. There's things I carry with me every single day I don't even have memorized (like my driver's license #) so why would something that barely sees the light of day be useful to know?

I don't think people have to know it, or even need to know, I am just surprised people don't know what hospital they were born at. Not that many in a city, should be pretty easy.

Yeah it does seem kinda odd, that someone would not know. Usually the story of you being born or other stuff like that gets brought up at some point. Like I know that my mom lost several babies, and was told she could no longer have any, but then I was born. That either makes me a miracle or an accident. :hmm:

When my place of birth must listed I write it down. (I was born on a military base, so I've always listed it. Of course the hospital is the one on the base.)
