Do you like working?

I enjoy working. I enjoy coming to work and interacting with people who do what I do. I like going to dinner after work, or going to the gym, or meeting up with co-workers and having a drink. I like making fun of people at work and telling jokes with my co-workers.

etc. etc. --- sitting at home would be boring.

What about you? Do you like working?

Over the winter I worked as a ski instructor and loved every minute of it. I can't wait for it to start again. For now, I am waiting tables, and it kind of sucks. Good money though, way better than a ski instructor.

I love working. I've got two jobs this summer-- 40 hours a week at a library on campus, and 16 hours a week at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Work is amazing. I enjoy the people I work with, and the work that I do. Well, not always, but most of the time, I really enjoy working.

A bit of a workaholic, I am. Time off is great, too, though.

Edit: Work = socialization, though. Maybe that's why I like it so much. I'm not fun enough to enjoy my own solitary company for long stretches of time.

I absolutely hate it. The work that I do is boring and uninteresting. I look out the windows and long to be outside doing something that benefits someone.

I just have to remind myself that I am working to bring money into my household, and my retirement account is growing.

i would take time off, but id eventually go back to work, but in a diminished capacity. i actually like what i do, and ive been a freebird before. it gets very boring, even when you can do and go where you want.

would be cool to spend more time with my kids and still be able to work while they were in school tho, i just cant seem to afford to live on 25-30 hours a week.

I like working on things that I am in control of and that I enjoy. I just finished a research project where I had a lot of freedom. It is now (slowly) being spun off into a small business (volatile waters at the moment). Right now it is stressful but I'm enjoying it.

I would absolutely hate to work for others, even if it was something I enjoyed, because I know that I'd inevitably be told to do something that I don't like or don't see a point in doing. And/or I have to maintain a 9-5 schedule I wouldn't care for, office politics, dress codes, things I couldn't give a damn about.

You have such limited time on this earth so why spend it doing what others want. Is it hard to go about it on your own? Sure. But it is absolutely worth it to be pleased with yourself at the end of the day, doing something you enjoy and being your own boss.

Why don't you like your job?

Well I'm not working right now (preparing to move across the country), but I hate my line of work because it's a stupid, pointless job that a trained monkey could do (desktop support). I might like it a little better if I was doing something else IT related, but really I'm not that inclined to keep educating myself to move into a better IT position because it just doesn't excite me anymore. I got into "computers" because I enjoyed it and it sucked all the enjoyment out of it.

I make the best of the situation i am in and know I am lucky to have any job.
It makes money and money = traveling and that makes me happy so i guess i like working.

But I'm being laid off and my last day will be on or before April 4, 2008 so..... yeah.
