I love my job. Best I've ever had.

But I'm being laid off and my last day will be on or before April 4, 2008 so..... yeah.

that's a lot of notice...where do you work at?

A medium sized ISP in South Dakota. We were bought by a larger ISP from Georgia. They're going to migrate our customers' email, web hosting, etc. to their servers there so there's no need for us Admins in SD. However, they can't do the email migration until the billing migration is done and that's not scheduled to be finished until the end of this year.

I like my job. I'm learning a lot, great people at work and I have made some really cool friends. We train together and we go outside of work together and have fun. It's all good.

Career prospects are great also

I love my job, I love working in a Level 1 Trauma Center. It's kinda cool and a fun bragging point to say that my hospital helped found the idea of emergency medicine/emergency nursing as a specialty in a hospital. Hell the work our ER physicians on emergency cut down thoracotomies is still gold standard type stuff. Plus given the area I work in we get plenty of trauma patients, and plenty of just sick, interesting, fun, crazy, wild, patients daily. Never a dull moment on the job.

99% of the time my job is a total blast as an emergency room nurse.

I love everything about my job/work/employer/coworkers except for my actual job.

Yep, especially when I work days. Working nights is considerably more boring, but still better than sitting around doing nothing.

Being retired doesn't mean doing nothing, it just means the things you do are no longer attached to the income you need. It changes everything and was very good for me. Where I live a lot of people that are my age (mid 30s) are retired and it's great b/c we can do things that seemed ridiculous before. One dude out here sculpts bronze statues, and another is writing a book. I think some cities it's harder to be retired than in other cities.

I work at a 24hr grocery store, usually the late night shift(12:30am), its seems nobody except rude people grocery shop. I enjoy what I do during the summer(driving farm equipment) I like working, but I had the job I have right now. I also love what I do to school for, and its great when I get to do work in that field.

I'm self employed, when things are going well and I'm making money I really enjoy working, when I'm not making money it's not so much fun.

Starting Monday 6/11/7 I'll be a lot happier, although today it felt good telling my now previous job to shove it.

It's time to quit. A good paying job is a fine thing, hating everyday that you have to be there is the seventh circle of hell.

Everyone around here thinks security is everything, and while it's important, it shouldn't be the goal. It's ok to go a little nuts and walk away from security to gain happiness and self respect. And it can be a lot of fun.

I do tons of data entry and report reconciling where I work. It;s not bad at all, plus there's an airhockey and foosball table that we can use anytime we want (obviously we can't abuse the fact that it's there).

When I'm at work, I love what I'm doing. But when I wake up in the morning, I don't want to go to work. It's hard to explain. I also never want to work another night, weekend or holiday again. I'd love to work on the same schedule as my kids school. I suppose I would still work-part time-if I won the lottery.

Yes. I hurt my back on Tuesday and had 1.5 days off. By the middle of yesterday, I began to feel restless. I was excited to be back.

f work

I am going to pull down yet another 50 hour work week which has been pretty consistent since freaking December.

f salaried positions

If I won the lottery there is no way in hell I would work. I wouldn't mind going back to school for something or another, though.

Yep, I was like that too. I've since cut day down to 4 days a week and pick up an odd 4 hrs here and there. Now life is sweet! I feel as if I'm on vacation every other week.
