Bingo!

We purchased our Sealy Posturpedic Mira Loma Queen for $399 - $60 coupon = $339 out the door back in January 2002. It's one of the best purchases we've ever done.

Unfortunately the usual CostCo coupon book sales don't start until January but they still have low prices on mattresses. Plus who can argue with CostCo's return policy which is one of the best in the retail world.

My actual bed sucks...you can touch it and it'll squeek and makes tons of noise, dunno... it's not the connecting part because just one piece will rattle. The wood actually squeeks or something, it's wierd.

Anyway, at my dorm-room it's fine and doesn't make any noise...

As far as my matress goes, I like a hard matress.

Eh. People are so picky. I sleep sound as can be on my $100 matress that I've had for like 8 years. No box spring. Wake up feeling great (unless I'm short on sleep which is all too often).

I'll add a third vote for the Sealy they have at Costco. The Costco one is labeled as a Fenway, but you'll find it under different names depending on where you shop for it.

My queen size was $499 a month ago (I couldn't wait for the coupon ) at Costco, and the exact same mattress is ~$860 across the street at the Sit N' Sleep.

The Sit N' Sleep mattress is under a different name, but they look alike and the number of springs and layers of material are identical. Sit N' Sleep has free delivery and set up, haul away of your old mattress, and they include a basic frame. Costco asks for $65 to deliver (I don't know if setup is included), and they charge and extra ~$30 for a basic frame if you need one.

Amen!

CostCo low prices + quality Sealy mattress = ONE HELL OF A DEAL on a quality bed.

Yep. They guarantee the price since everyone sells the same thing all with different names.

i have a futon with the middle grade mattress, i like it, the most expensive one is better but this oen is fine, i can pretty much sleep on anything

I sleep on an 'authentic' Japanese futon. My dad got it about 12 years ago and since the mattress is so thin and firm, it doesn't need replacing until it's really threadbare, basically. He bought it at a futon store around here, and I think it's the perfect bed for me. It's really firm, which is what I like. Unfortunately it's as ugly as all get-out (it's floor level, and queen size, so it looks super-strange). I think my next big purchase will be a new matress and a bed. I love the styles they've got at Ikea for frames.

I have a Simmons Beautyrest. It's a low-end Beautyrest model, but it still kicks ass.

I have a platform bed so I don't need a boxspring. It's actually kind of hard to find just the mattress for a good price, but I managed to score a great deal on a king from a local Fred Meyer store, had to special-order it but I got it for around $475 on sale last year IIRC.

It's a no-frills mattress but my fiancee and I always sleep well well. It's firm, which I like, and we don't disturb each other during the night and we have no back or neck pain. Seems durable so far as well.

We just bought a Serta Memory Foam and it is the best mattress we have ever slept on. I can actually fall asleep on my back and not wake the entire night, something I could never do. Worth every penny.

I've seen a lot of commercials advertising some sort of discount or trade-in for an old mattress. Is there actually any significant discount (who would buy a used mattress??) for this, or is it just a marketing scheme?

I bought a King size Sealy Posturepedic Mira Loma II from Costco about 10 months ago for $649. We were originally planning on getting another foam pad to put on it and hopefully duplicate the pillow-top effect, but it is so comfortable that we haven't bothered. I can't vouch for the longevity yet, but it is definitely very comfortable. I think it's rated as plush. I was originally worried it might be too soft, but it seems to have plenty of support.

RossMan did his Costco cheerleading as always in this thread.

More discussion can also be found in my thread here
