I need a new phone because my moto X battery life doesn't survive very long these days. I'm trying to decide between the Nexus 5x and 5p. Is there one hand operation for these large phones?
Just replaced my Nexus 5X with the 6P. I found the Nexus 5X would lag like crazy if I tried to use the camera with another app running which would force me to reboot the phone. And Snapchat is almost unusable on the 5X. Zero issues with the 6P in regards to performance.
And I've found that I can use the 6P with one hand almost as much as I could with the 5X. I do have it in a Spigen Thin case which gives me a good grip when using one hand.
Maybe it's just dependent on use case, but I found the N5 and OPX have no problems keeping up with the iPhone 6. In fact, it's the iPhone 6 that lags more and is slower UI wise. I disable animations on both OS's, and use Nova launcher on Android devices. I have a 640 that I tested on WP8 and WM10 (Insider Preview) that is just slow compared to the 3 phones, but then again it was $29.It's baffling to be that Android phones, after all these years, still lag and jag like all hell. I looked at all sorts of Android phones having used Android exclusively for all my phones. Looks like it's time to go iPhone though.
I was thinking of the Nexus 5x, but I hate how it doesn't have the specs of the 6p.

I would add "Industrial Design" to the jargon list. I have absolutely no clue what it means.I think some of you are nitpicky to the extreme, though I partially blame the annoying rise of words like blazing and buttery to hype new phone or OS versions for years running.

Played with my relative's 5X, it's pretty big. Bigger than my Galaxy S6 a little bit width wise, and also taller, which is what really hurts it. My standard for one handed use is to be able to reach the upper right corner of the screen with your thumb while supporting the bottom of the phone with your pinkie finger. I can just do it on the S6, but 5X is a touch too tall for that. I think since Google already has a 6P, they should have gone with a 5" or less screen for the 5X, so that it would have true one handed use.
