Do you love pasta

Being half Italian (other half is a mix of slovak and polish) its pretty safe to say I nearly live on the stuff. I find making it myself to be the most rewarding, quite easy really. Here's a little recipe I kinda figured out from making it with my grams over the years

2 cups white flour
1 cup whole weat flour
1/3 cup olive oil

kneed the crap out of it till it starts to set up, roll it out...cut it into whatever shape you'd like....let it sit out and the air and dry up a little bit or put it on a lightly oiled shet and set it in your oven at liek 175 or whatever the lowest setting is and then cook it over a slow boil...should take about half the time of store bought to cook.....this dough as also makes AMAZING piergoies...and hers a little slovak secrete...use instant mashed potatoes for the filling. don;t ask why but it makes better piergoies than real mashed taters (unless they are red skins)

Saturday is usually pasta day at my house but we will instead be having Italian sausage, broccoli in cheese sauce and a green salad tonight.

Since you started it

Little Noodle recipe my dad taught me, it's what used to make the Hungarian noodles in Paprikas.

1 cup flour
1 egg
pinch salt
water for consistency---it's a wet noodle, wetter than bread dough, but not runny. Scoop up small amount of dough(no more than a teaspoon at a time) and place into boiling water. Noodles float when cooked.

I enjoy it for the 5 minutes I'm eating it. Then I'm regretting it during post-meal carb coma.

I love pasta. You can make so many different styles and with so many different sauces that it never gets old. Fettucini Alfredo one night, seafood ravioli bolognese the next, mac and cheese for lunch, tortellini carbonara for dinner, etc. It's the perfect blank canvas.

How can you not like pasta? Pasta with cheese sauce, Pasta with meat sauce, Pasta with tomato sauce... It's ALL good
