Your levity was both noted and appreciated. I must disagree with this being a "depressing" thread. On the contrary ... these women literally "formed us out of clay". They bore us and (hopefully) raised us the best they could. We honor them with our thoughts and memories ...

Lost my job, she suggested I move back home and go to school.
Havent been able to get another job. Living here too long. Going mad. May run screaming into the woods.
I suspect after she passes away I'll miss her a lot. But there isnt much I can do about that. In theory we could go out and do stuff, but in reality she doesnt have the energy to actually engage in much activity. In fact the day after Christmas she will be getting a transfusion. Or infusion. I forget which.

Yes I do miss my mom every day of my life. My mom passed away 18 years ago at young age -- around 55. I took her for granted until then and all of a sudden I just left with many many things that I wanted to tell her and seek her advice. All of a sudden the light in my life was turned off, and left with a void that no one else can compensate for. I remember her almost every single day of my life, and often see her in my dreams -- some dreams suggest that she is still alive somewhere far far away and I can go there and bring her back, but when I wake up I realize that it was only a dream.

i still have my mom and shes with me now. spending the Christmas with my entire family is awesome. I will lose her one day however assuming i outlive my mom and dad like most average people. I hope my future family of wife and children can fill the void before that time comes.

my mother died in 1986 from a brain aneurysm. I just got home from a day at college when I found her on the couch incoherent and complaining her head hurt. Then things went south very fast and i was horrified to see her dying. She was pronounced dead at the hospital in which she was the Head Nurse. That was a very tough several weeks for my family. The pain lasted much longer but life must go on.

I miss her very much. My father passed away in 2008 and I miss him very much. Christmas isn't the same after that.
