Don't know why he would be complaining. If they only used it for 5min. That means more time for him on the machine.

Good for you? I don't know what you are looking for here. A pat on the back or maybe a good old fashion " 'atta boy!"? 180 isn't all that heavy at 5'11". Loose an inch and go up to 260 and tell me how well you did after not stepping foot in a gym for 15 years.
I guess his vast accomplishment gives him the right to be critical of others.

I was out of shape. I had a belly and man tits. The man tits was what motivated me to eat right and go to the gym.

Do you ever notice that judgemental thin people tend to not be able to do the simplest things like a proper squat and concentrate 95% of their workout on a dozen different variations of a curl

Speaking of judgmental people, how you all doin in this thread?

Speaking as judgmental people, you misspelled judgmental, also where is the punctuation? Too many arm curls got you all pooped out?

If you don't like judgmental people, go to Planet Fitness. They even give you pizza parties every month.

A lot fat people use cardio machines for like 5 minutes and then stop. While normal people stay on one for 30-60 minutes.

How do they feel accomplished at doing 5 minutes of cardio?

What about you? You're standing around the gym taking down statistics on fat people's exercise habits instead of actually working out.

No self discipline.

Oh and of course the already anorexic girls lifting 2 lb pink DBs for 50 reps.

Sorry, I love people watching at the gym! So much funny stuff. I will say though that it is definitely an honor to watch the strong guys lift. I am not that big IMO and have a long way to go...so I really love talking to teh strong guys and getting some tips.

I've seen people leg pressing 50 pounds. It takes more effort to stand up!

There is another dude at the gym I see all the time. I figured out his routine after going there for a few months:

Monday: Biceps
Tuesday: Biceps
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Biceps
Friday: Biceps
Sat/Sun: Off

Watching most people work biceps is cringeworthy. The proper form for any type of curl is so simple, yet so few people do it right. Especially the herds of geeky high school boys that hang out together at my hometown Y.

why do you think i'm just standing around? I'm not one those old creepy men who go there to stare. When i'm doing my own workout on an elliptical, treadmill, etc... I can't help not to notice the habits of fat people in front of me.

Maybe they were just doing a quick warm up before hitting the weights/machines? The real question is why are you stalking fat people at your gym?

Now wait a damn minute...........

I go to the local university. No matter how old I get, the college girls are always the same age.

Gotta occupy those 2-3 minutes between sets with something! Might as well be people watching!

The worst is some people I know on FB..

10am - "Just woke up, STOKED FOR BICEPS DAY, #GYMME"
11am - "Prepping for biceps day #SWOLL"
11:30am - "On the way to 24 for extreme biceps. GET ON MY LEVEL!"
12pm - "Checked in at 24 Hour Fitness - On that biceps grind"
3pm - "3 hours of bicep pumpage complete #hardworkdedicationgetonmylevel"

Makes me want to fucking kill someone.

I'm too busy watching the gals in front of me, on the treadmill, in the fine shorts or sweats, than to pay attention to, or give a shit about, the juice heads or ugly out of shape people.

You lot need to get your priorities straight.

I always ask myself why i torment myself after i went to the gym.
Then i am amazed how my body is trying to take action to adapt to the strain by making itself stronger.

I trained for a marathon solely on treadmill runs. I think I only ran outside once for like a mile and the first long distance run for that year was the actual marathon. Some of those runs were for 15+ miles. I just watched tv the whole time lol.

150lbs at 5'11 sounds kind of skinny to be honest. I'm 180 at 5'7 and I think I need to put on more weight. (Actually 183+- water weight and clothes. So probably around 178.)
