A customer came in today. She had changed her mind about wanting us to do work on her computer - work we had already done. I explained that we had already done the work and labor couldn't be refunded.

She still wanted to give me a hard time about getting her money back so I got out the Terms and Conditions sheet she had signed saying she had read the above terms and conditions and agreed to them and I pointed out the underlined section that stated "Labor cannot be returned once the scope of work agreed upon above has been completed."

Her excuse was "Well, I didn't read that."

I make it a point to read everything I sign. It took me a while but I did it for every single mortgage paper I signed

Reading... you're asking me to read?! That's un-American! What are you...a commie?!
That's like Obama asking me to read his plan on his website. What? Hell no. It was bad enough your commercial has gotta be over a minute long, and you say just shit... and ask me to read? HAH!

Anything that has to do with my health, my vehicle, or my housing i read everything - other than that I let some things slide.

it depends on what I'm assigning

ie regarding the WoW terms and conditions, I don't really care what Blizzard has stated in them, whereas some people consider any type of infringement on privacy an atrocity against human rights

What's this post about?

I didn't read any replies either.

It's now about pie.

I read everything, I just skip the words longer than one syllable so I can get the big picture.

I haven't felt that anything I've signed has been important enough. Unless they put in a 'we own your soul' clause into a EULA now.

I glance over most things. Important/expensive things I read, though.

Of course, every time I buy a house I spend a couple weeks reading over the documentation in the title company's office. I often ask lots of questions and I request detailed explanations. Only after carefully evaluating every sentence do I sign anything.

I always read everything I sign; I even read each page of the purchase agreement to our new house as my fiancee and the Rep watched.

And they always rush you too like they don't want you to read it.

We get a lot of inside deliveries here at work. They charge either the consignee or the shipper for the work they did. Lets say they spent 1 hr for the delivery inside the facility, but when you sign the paper work that the drivers come with, they always leave the time they spent blank. So for all you know they go back to their warehouse and hand in the bill that states they spent 2 or more hours on the delivery. Plus other fees like crate removal.

Generally yes. If you ever really want to piss someone off read your enlistment contract when joining the military. For extra fun be the last person through during the day.

Depends on what it is. I do mostly read or have someone explain it in laymans terms if I don't fully understand the contract.
