Do you read on the toilet?

I don't understand how people can do this.

I poop in under 10 minutes so don't see the need to read. I also focus on the task at hand.

I know some people sit there for like 30 mins. Why would you do that? How can you read an entire newspaper while pooping?

but I'm not one of those people who'd read an entire newspaper in the bathroom... usually it's more like a couple pages. I'm too paranoid about hemroids or something to spend a long time sitting on the bowl.

I usually have magazines next to my throne. Takes a couple weeks to read through one. usually its a day or two of flipping through it then each poop gets me through a single short article and the multipage articles take a few days to get through

1) Gaming mags like PC gamer. You can read one review or ten, depending on how much you're laboring. Old issues are great as well; I love reading the old tech reviews and previews.

2) Movie review books, especially Roger Ebert's. A quick drop might give you enough time to peruse a short column, while a long delivery could allow you to compare philosophical viewpoints on "The Godfather".
