I am not sure where you can get Jetfire equivalents now. Cept Egay. And they cost an arm and a leg. Back in the day though my brother and I collected the models of the Robotech series. We were hoping they would be worth something in the future..... guess not:frown:

Some of them did transform, but no where near the niceness of a die cast from Japan.

The vid quality is not truely that bad. Unfortunately it is not a remaster of the original. It is a direct transfer from the original. (A remaster of 'Robotech' is unavailable at this time) However a remaster *is* becoming available for Macross (The original Anime version of the SDF-1 Saga)

ebay is about the only place your going to find them. The originals releases sell in the $250-$1000 range. The korean nockoffs sell in the $50-$125 range.

they sold the original mospeada fighters(Are they alphas? I forget), but I don't think they ever made a beta.

on the good news front, the prices seem to be droping. They used to sell for more. But, with the release of the dvds, who knows what that will do with interest...

For those who don't know Robotech (org. MACROSS), I would rank it as the best Japanese anime at 80s (I think Gundam was in 70s), but I hate the US name Robotech.

Too bad this DVD only has English audio, I would rather stick to me VCD set.

Speeking of Gundam, anyone know what order all the Gundams came out as? I was recently digging around trying to find Gundam Wing (since it seems like EVERYONE at the lan parties watches it except me) and found Gundam, Gundam X, Gundam Wing, Gundam G, Gundam 0007, Gundam etc. What exactly is the relation between all those?

I still consider Macross the Movie: Do you remember love, to be one of the best if not the best animation I have ever seen. What's amazing is that it came out in 1984 and still beats the crap out of many animations out there today. I strongly recommend it. Does anyone know if there's a DVD for it?

The dub of &quot;Do You Remember Love?&quot; was pretty bad. The story and animation were cool, though. I'd love to see a subbed version.

Macross: Do you Remember Love was the first Anime I ever saw. Was wandering around the internet about 8 or 9 years ago, ran across some Anime sites, and thought &quot;this looks cool.&quot; Looked a little deeper and seemed like everyone who collected fansubs were all reccomending one group: Artic Animation. I went over to their site, picked three random titles off their list, and sent them the tapes. Macross: DYRL was the first one I saw, and I have been hooked on Anime ever since. I have to encode it one of these days, it really is an amazing movie.
