I believe Nevada can flip Republican, there are a lot of Jewish American voters there....NJ/NY/CT is too blue, but I can see Trump holding Biden to 10-20 points there
Nevada is generally a close state so it could go Republican, sure, but not because of Jewish voters becoming Republicans.

Regardless, Americans who identify as Jewish have been becoming MORE Democratic leaning, not less.

This thread is also an interesting example of low level anti semitism that exists in America where American Jews are viewed as basing their votes on US policy towards Israel as they are viewed as having some sort of dual loyalties.

Is it anti-semitism, though? I mean it's pretty common for citizens of any country to allow family connections and/or a general sense of allegiance to a foreign country to which they have connections to to influence their vote, depending on the foreign-policies of a candidate. Is it not widely acknowledged that Irish Americans, for example, care about a President's attitude to the situation in Northern Ireland? Similarly with policy towards Cuba.

Here it's a major talking point that Starmer appearing too pro-Israel could cost Labour Muslim votes.

It really is - throughout history Jews have been accused of disloyalty to their country.

It’s true that other ethnic groups have been similarly slurred but there’s not a lot of evidence that allegiance to foreign countries defines the voting choices of ethnic/religious groups in the US.

I don't think it's quite as simple as "allegiance" to foreign countries...more that your cultural and family and personal history of connections to those countries affects your identity and hence your politics. That's absolutely what I see looking at my own family (that encompasses multiple different parts of the world, most of them with very fraught politics, hence my own relatives have very divergent views on Israel/Palestine).

But I don't know...not sufficiently sure about it to argue the point, especially when it can get into very dodgy territory.

I'm going to agree with you. I think it is inevitable that any kind of ego association that gets implanted in childhood that is assumed by ones elders to confer some reason to have pride will influence a person later in life even if perhaps marginally and depending on how little respect one has retained or retrieved via self introspection for which that identification becomes an important substitute simply forbeing here in the real. This, however, in my opinion on the topic here, should be no different for an American Jew or an American anything else. The only way to really know if someone is biased is if they deny evidence, and that's another can of worms because a biased person will see denial in anybody but him or her self.

There is only one way out of this that I can see and it's sincerity.

In the category of "Just Asking?" is there anything significant irt how the Jewish community in America generally feel about how the GOP rank and file ardently support Christian religious fundamentalism including those conservative religious zealots that found a welcome home in the Republican party? I have no idea what level of anti-Jewish sentiment there is within the conservative religious sects so......

Not when the other party is still going full MAGA and hiring “literal Nazis” for public security…no.

There were 4 times more voters that cast ballots for this election compared to the mayor election 4 years ago.

The darling of the white supremacist's was defeated by 60 points, losing 12,822 to 3,322. Even in Tennessee!
