Sometimes I do. Usually when I have something nasty to expel. I try to spit into tissue or something and put in garbage. Spit carries diseases.

Exactly. Spitting is a part of the immune system. It is unhealthy to bypass it. If you swallow spit, you can get tuberculosis (and other such things). It's supposed to be disgusting, you prude. It's excrement, do not swallow it.

Nope, that's why I asked. Wasn't aware that swallowing spit was unhealthy.

There's a difference between spitting out the stuff after brushing your teeth, to spitting on the floor while you're out and about and walking etc.

If I'm sick and I hock up a lewgy then I'm gonna spit it out. If possible I go for grass or flower beds, secondly I go for the road, if nothing else is around and I'm in a concret wonderworld I spit on the sidewalk in a sparsely traveled area.

I am disagreeing with you for sure dejitaru. Trust me spitting is not and will never be an integral part of the human immune system. The reason people product up to a pint of mucus a day (when not sick) and swollow that mucus is so that any pathogenic or foreign materials will be killed in the acidic stomach. If you swollow your mucus or saliva you will not have a greater chance of getting tuberculosis or any other disease. In fact saliva has antimicrobial properties itself.

A factual part of the immune system is lymph tissue you have in the construction of tonsils (adenoid, palatine and lingual) as well as your cervical lymph tissue. Hope this helps set you straight
