Do you still have toys from when you were a kid?

I saved my Legos from when I was a kid so that my kids can play with them. They get them out and play with them, but not nearly as much as I did (my daughter seems to like them much more so than my son). I have two giant plastic tubs filled to them top with Legos, it has to be a few thousand dollars worth!

The only other toys I kept were Micro Machines. I used to get the military ones and play with them all of the time, and I have a tub of those as well. My kids don't seem to care much for them at all. Since they never play with them I'm thinking about getting rid of them but I just can't bring myself to do it I guess for nostalgic reasons.

Most of them are still in plastic tubs in my parents' house. If I ever have kids, I'll most likely pass them down.

I still have my legos. I wish I kept the instruction manuals to the sets that I was given. It would be cool to rebuild them all as they were intended to be built. (I would build the set once all the way, play for it for a day, get bored, and tear it all apart.)

I have several of my Star Wars figures. Lost most of the guns that came with them however and I never saved any of them in the box. I wish I knew they would be collectable. I had the jawa figure with both the cloth cape and the plastic one, also had the original Han Solo with the smaller head, but of course the head broke off and I lost it.

I had my entire hot wheel set but I gave them to my nephew when he was around 8. I regret that. I kept really good care of them and later on I found out my nephew just tore them up. They were all scratched up, missing wheels, their axles bent and totally broken. :'(

I wish I still had my Evil Knievil stunt cycle.

My brother about 6 years younger than me inherited most of my stuff as I grew out of it. Then, my cousin about 10 years younger than him inherited. Then, our cousin another 4 years younger than him inherited. So, anyhow, this cousin has a LOT of Lego. my niece will likely will get them next since she is getting to be the age where she will grow out of Duplo... But my nephew is only 3, so I think my sister will wait until nephew is 4 or 5 before she is ready to have all the little tiny pieces all over their house.

I have all my consoles since SNES(except for my original Xbox, gave that to a friend), every Lego I acquired over the years, and probably a few other things. I don't plan on having kids, but Lego will always have a fond spot in my heart, so I'll be buried with those suckers!

Wish I'd kept some of what I had....ton of original GI Joe, some 007 paraphernalia (favorite was the briefcase from Russia With Love--spring loaded knife, etc.), and the comics. Had the first ed. of Iron Man, Spider Man, Avengers, Daredevil, and then there was Dr. Strange, one of my favorites. Traded a huge box full of a couple of hundred comics like that for a BB gun back in the day. Seemed like a good trade at the time.

And the Jarts, and all the other toys that'd never get made today.

I have a pair of soccer goalie shorts made by Umbro from when I was 7 years old. Joined a soccer team, was the "biggest" kid and was picked to be the goalie for the team despite not having any idea what it was about. My dad took me to the soccer shop the next day to get some goalie/keeper gear. They had everything in my size except any pants/shorts. Only adult sizes were available. So my dad bought me some adult pants, which cinched up fit just fine. I used them for practice and pounding/sliding into the ground for every day for 20 years. Not to mention when I was team I used them as swim trunk more than a few times in the pool. Damn things still look good and fit me even today even if the padding is a little flatter.

Yea, still have some.

My LEGO's and my younger bro's LEGO's have been handed down to my kids, they love them. And now they're getting new sets every year to add to it. We spent two weeks over christmas break building all the old sets, it was fun.

And a SNES with a couple games, and I have Final Fantasy for the NES with the Nintendo Power book.

Other than that, not really. We pretty much wrecked everything else.

My son loves the Military micro machines and I even hunted some down this past Christmas to give him as a present. I'm a buyer if you want to sell them!

Regarding other toys, yes I was able to keep a lot of my toys, and some my kids think are cool, but most seem hokey to them, which is understandable considering the 30+ year divide between my toy era and my kids.

I have most of my Star Wars stuff from the late 70s and early 80s, still boxed up. Also have most of my early computer equipment (Vic 20, Commodore 64, etc). I have an old Atari but don't know for sure what happened to the cartridges, but I suspect they're boxed at my mom's house or were thrown out.

My NES, SNES and Playstation are somewhere at my parents' house. I have a huge tub of K'nex and legos as well.

When I moved to my house I brought lot of my stuff over but most of the toys stayed.

I used to also like playing with electrical stuff as a kid, there was boxes of random stuff like that which I ended up bringing with me. What's funny is while doing electrical around my house some of that stuff has actually gotten useful at some point. It's cool to know that some of the electrical stuff around the house like switches and light sockets are things I played with as a kid.
