I swear in my private life, but at work we have instituted a no profanity rule. $0.25 per infraction. We instituted it because although our mill doesn't care at all, one of our co-workers was making the rest of us look bad, and now he basically takes us out to dinner a couple of times a year (all 8 of us)

It's all pretty meaningless to me, so why would I use words that are meaningless to myself?

I try to not swear in normal conversation, but if I'm irritated, I don't really care what I say.

I hardly ever swear at work so when I do they know I mean business. I also don?t like casual swearing I think it makes people look stupid. However when used sparingly and effectively they really drive the point home.
