Depends on which Leopard model. Australia replaced some of their older Leopard tanks with refurb Abrams a few years ago. Germany produces competitive tanks. IIRC, the original main gun on the Abrams was manufactured in Germany. They are produced state side now, AFAIK.

While I wasn't there I hear the War of 1812 went real swell for the US (the Canadians were even kind enough to give back all the land they took, although it was Detroit so I don't really blame them). So based on the one historical example of Canada being invaded by the US I'd say Canada is ok. hahaha.

I grew up in Canada and based on my experience it's about as likely to assimilate with the States as Saudi Arabia. Canadians would say they have more in common with Europeans then Americans.
