Save your money for when vendor's try to dump Geforce SDR. If you dont have money to burn, wait for the next best thing.

Well, its worth the price. I heard it overclock better then the Geforce SDR. If the external DAC is included with the retail version, I'd definitely get it for dual monitor support.

Check out Sharky Extreme's article, at Higher resolutions - the MX is barely better than a TnT2. Perhaps when game mfr's optimize their games for FSAA and other features more beneficial to the MX, then will the TNT2 not be a viable alternative.
800x600 or lower, the MX is fast as all git out.

i want the dual display.

if you want to, you can upgrade from a tnt2, but there is no real reason... the tnt2 is still pretty damn fast. if you want geforce for cheap, do what unoriginal said.

Depends on what you play. The MX is faster for lower resolutions the T&L unit helps with Q3 a lot. Heck it beats the V5 5500 at resolutions below 1024 X 32 bit.

Also it looks like the MX will be cheaper than the GeForce1.

Sharkey never benchmarked the Ge2 MX vs the TNT 2 ultra, but Thresh did and the MX blew it away at all resolutions. In fact, it performed admirably vs the other GE force cards until higher resolutions. At that point, it's apparent that the faster and better DDR memory starts to take over. I think it certainly makes sense to pick up the MX as it performs much better than the TNT 2 ultra and sticks up there with the Geforce SDR. For $150.00 or less, it can't be beat.
