So the guy didn't vote in the election. Does that change anyone's opinion?
Yes, now he is more of a fucking asshole.

Stephen A ripped him pretty good, and is right. It's perfectly fine to protest. It's hypocritical to protest trying to "change" things, then not actually doing anything as simple as voting for the change.
Not that I think Hillary would be better to blacks, based on her history and the history of the Democrats who have been in office. The point is he didn't take a few minutes to vote.
Stephen A Smith is the biggest douchebag in sports media. Your post would have been better if you left him out of it.Stephen A ripped him pretty good, and is right. It's perfectly fine to protest. To be fair though, in his original statement he condemned both Trump and Hillary. Media seems to have lost that fact, focusing just on the alleged "racial injustice" of minorities.
Not that his vote in CA would have mattered, but I agree. My vote in MD didn't really matter, but I still voted.
Even if you don't vote for presidents, you can still vote for propositions and measures that would end up affecting you personally. What a colossal douche bag, that Kaepernick is.
You think a selfish childish punk would think that far? Neither him nor his sympathizers have any clues.I recall him saying that he was going to be more "proactive" in this movement rather than simply silently protest during a few minutes at games where he's payed a colossal amount of money to perform as one of the worst examples of his profession.
Well, going out to vote--especially locally--is the most proactive action that our republic allows. It doesn't get more active than that. What if he had likewise spent time encouraging others to do so?

I disagree though. If he didn't believe either of them were going to make any of the changes he's protesting, then throwing a vote out to either of them wouldn't help his cause.
Kaeperdick seems perfect to be recruited by ISIS down the road.
They better not let him throw hand grenades, he'd miss.
Not standing for the anthem is not even a little bit of an issue in my book. That someone even bothered to notice is a waste of that person's time and energy. Not voting is a douchebag move but I guess it just means that my vote counted that little bit more.
