Trump spoke today at his briefing. Trump made a reference to drug treatment and 5 years as Trump then suggest he would have a second term. OBI WON JOE BIDEN, YOU'RE OUR ONLY HOPE.

Is anyone watching trumps press conference right now? He’s got a right wing “journalist” in the audience who just asked him how he feels about the left wing media using Chinese propaganda. Holy shit!
Makes me very afraid. He still has no clue folks. Why hasn't he invoked the Defense act? Where's basic shit like masks, friggin cotton swaps for tests. Oh that's the job of the state now. Fed is impotent? WTF?

when the chuds start dying they will turn on trump. The problem with the gop is they have enlarged fear centers in the brain and covid19 will soon override anything Trump tells them.

His supporters will vote for him, no matter what. He was able to convince them that COVID19 is a hoax. You know COVID19, the virus that China was trying to keep under wraps and lying about how deadly it is - but, once it hit the states... it's a hoax. BTW, it is deemed a hoax, because Trump is handling it poorly.

His supporters are against big government, yet they are OK with Trump doling out TRILLIONS of tax dollars to farms, banks, Wall Street, cruise companies, airlines, etc.

Trump has done everything that conservatives claim to despise and hate - and they love him for it.

Exactly. Woke up this morning to find out....WE ARE AT WAR!!! We are in BATTLE against an invisible enemy.

I mean, when does a wartime president ever lose an election? I see the airways being flooded with pseudo-patriotic WWII-esque adds about how well Trump is leading us in this great battle.
You open a door and you're surprised when he walks in and closes it behind him. Why are you surprised?

It’s as simple as this. Trumps people repeatedly told him this was going to be a major issue in mid Jan. He didn’t care. They repeatedly tried to get him to acknowledge it in late Jan and start doing something. Again he did nothing. He got upset with his people making statements about it because it was effecting the market in Mid February. He still did nothing. In late Feb he called it a democratic hoax even though his people had been telling him it was a serious problem since Jan.

He failed to respond during the time the federal government should have been responding. His failure to respond has caused more problems than we would have had if he had responded like a competent President would have responded. He needs to be tossed out of office for dereliction of duty.

"A majority of Americans now approve of President Donald Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new survey, as the administration has issued stricter federal guidelines in recent days and the president has adopted a more public-facing role in combating the disease.

An ABC News/Ipsos poll released Friday reports that 55 percent of respondents approve of Trump’s management of the public health crisis, while 43 percent disapprove. The latest figures represent a boost in the president’s rating from the previous iteration of the survey, published one week ago, which showed only 43 percent approval for Trump and 54 percent disapproval.

The uptick in public sentiment comes in the wake of a variety of measures the president has taken to combat the rapid spread of COVID-19 within the United States. Trump has been widely criticized for his initial response to the pandemic, as well as his adminitration’s inability to quickly ramp up testing across the country."

Those numbers will get him re-elected.

The guy can't do anything right according to the left.
I haven't been keeping up as much as I should. I'm imagining if he did issue a travel ban from certain countries earlier he'd been labeled a racist. As it is we know that middle eastern men are always the terrorists from other countries yet we can't stop them at airports because racist. I understand that sex deprived, early twenties, white men are just as dangerous.

Even when he has been putting measures in place to keep people afloat you guys just find something else to bitch about.
all available evidence points to the fact he can't do anything right

Keep telling yourself that. The election is more than 7 months away. We'll likely handle it as well as, say, Italy-

Economic dislocation will be quite severe as the giant international corporate credit bubble pops. It was a disaster waiting for an excuse to happen, and covid19 is the way. The exits are jammed as flight to liquidity ensues.

You guys missed your chance. Should have had Cuomo run for the Dems. He’s clearly been out in front, best spoken, clear / concise, and projecting actual leadership, of every single person who has spent time in front of a mic & camera since this has started.

I’ve never been a huge fan, but if the Dems ran Cuomo, i would have to strongly consider him instead of Trump.

Not really. From 538.

Americans also appear to be giving President Trump higher marks for how he has handled the crisis following a week in which he has appeared to take it more seriously, giving a prime-time address to the nation and announcing strict guidelines to slow the virus’s spread. In this week’s Reuters/Ipsos poll, respondents were split 47 percent to 47 percent on whether they approved or disapproved of the way Trump was handling the coronavirus. That’s an improvement from March 2-3, when Reuters/Ipsos found that 38 percent approved and 47 percent disapproved. Similarly, the most recent YouGov/The Economist poll gave Trump a 45 percent approval rating on the coronavirus and a 46 percent disapproval rating. In the pollster’s March 1-3 survey, 37 percent approved and 47 percent disapproved. Interestingly, both polls showed little change in the number of Americans who disapproved of Trump’s performance on the issue, just more people approving of it.

That said, other polls, including some very high-quality ones, still found Trump underwater on the issue. For example, an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll from March 11-13 found that 45 percent of registered voters approved of Trump’s handling of the coronavirus, while 51 percent disapproved. And the aforementioned NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist survey gave Trump a 44 percent approval rating on the coronavirus and a 49 percent disapproval rating (among all adults). And Trump’s overall approval rating remains in the low 40s, where it has hovered throughout almost all of his presidency.

So an uptick after a few decent press conferences to towards equal approval/disapproval and still well underwater on his overall approval.

These polls were before he spiked the softball question from NBC into his nuts and before people fully realize unemployment is growing by 1%+ a week and before many more hospitals get overwhelmed.

I despise Trump, but his approval has been the strongest ever since the Impeachment and even though his Covid-19 handling has been abysmal, the ill informed public are not seeing it that way. He's doing things and people see it. Meanwhile, Biden is being hidden away somewhere saying nothing. In contrast, Bernie is out there giving his thoughts/ideas on how to handle this crisis and many others that exist in the US.

I know I keep harping on this and it seems for naught, but Biden is the worst Candidate to put up against Trump. He offers too little in a time when People expect a lot.
