if you read the reddit comments many in the city have seen this asshole drive the same way before. Run a stop sign, make someone fall, honk your horn when you are at fault. No one feels sorry the driver.

When you drive the only bright orange douche canoe in town you better be on your best behavior.

I really hope the driver sues the little shits parents and they have to pay full price for the windshield.

Yes, and the driver should get charged for failing to stop at a Stop Sign, hitting a pedestrian in a crosswalk and fleeing the scene of an accident.

I don't think he actually hit the kid; just startled him off his skateboard.

Judging by how fast that kid ran away, there really wasn't any accident there.

Only a punk would smash a windshield of a very expensive car with a skateboard in a situation like that.

A complete douchebag got owned by a young punk. LOL epic mastery by yute, bravo.

The kid certainly went overboard. No argument there - he wasn't hit (based on the YT description) and did probably $5k worth of damage. Sure, the McLaren driver had it coming for being your typical rich n' reckless douche and disobeying traffic laws, but he didn't deserved that.

He deserved it. It wasn't legal, but he deserved it.
You don't run over people and expect for nothing to happen.

What the kid did was totally understandable (bear with my reasoning here)

1) Driver runs red light and damn near kills kid in crosswalk
2) Driver then taunts kid
3) Kid, having just been the victim of violence, goes fight or flight (or both)

I'm not saying that what he did was objectively the best decision, but I totally understand how it escalated from his perspective. The driver had two opportunities to prevent this, as a fucking adult. The kid is just responsible for the last bit, as a juvenile.

It's pretty clear from the video that the driver has gotten away with ignoring traffic signs for so long that it became habitual.

Face it, a traffic ticket won't change the behavior of these types. Since such a high priority is placed on their image the appropriate consequence is public shaming.

The skater has a strong understanding of life and is changing the world one smashed windshield at a time.

I don't understand people honking purely to display anger. Idiot. Also he's lucky it was only a windshield and not part of the actual body that would cost multiples more to replace.

You can hear the driver/passenger yell "fucking move bitch" after he runs the stop sign and honks at the skateboarder.

Comments also seem to imply this driver is known in the area for driving like an asshole.

Skateboarder is not justified but I don't feel sorry for the driver.

This is why I support a capitalist system over a communistic one.

In a communist system we all pretend that everything works for everyone, when in reality shitty people rip out the heart of the system and bend it to their will for selfish reasons.

In a capitalist system we pretend we are all looking out for ourselves, when in reality shitty people rip out of the hearts of each other and we get to clean up the mess.

At least with the second option you aren't lying to yourself.

Anyone know where this is? Many places have laws requiring people on skateboards to dismount and walk across a cross walk.

Denver, at 16th Street and West 30th Ave.

Given how many people I see stop past stop signs and the white lines at red lights it wouldn't surprise me at all

Looks like an awkward intersection for a driver. The crosswalk is 10-15 feet back from road because of the bend at the intersection. Plus the road down which the driver came is perfectly straight, then turns almost 45 degrees right at crosswalk.

Kid didn't do enough if you ask me. People in vehicles like that are notoriously vain and think they can do whatever they want. So many times I've seen someone driving a >$100k vehicle and do some really stupid things in traffic and wanted to just drive them off the road.

Someone driving a car like that $2-5k is probably a drop in the bucket. He should have hit the headlights and the hood a few times and knifed the tires and pissed through the window before he ran as well. Just to make sure he got the point across.

Worthless video is worthless.
Was the kid in a crosswalk or a crossskate? I can't tell from the video.

That kid should go to Russia and skateboard across any pedestrian crosswalk there and see what happens. By the time they scrape him up he won't have to worry about skateboarding anymore.

Why isn't anyone calling this kid a thug? I mean that was thuggish behavior in that he damaged someone else's property. Unless the thug term is reserved for a different class/group of people
