The drivers have the easy part. It's the line workers that have it bad and get paid under 9 bucks an hour! I doubt the drivers would share the tips with them. No tip from me!!! :|

lol my UPS guy takes my packages, runs halfway up the lawn, then chucks the package at my door. I hear the bang against my door, walk to get the package and by then he's already peeling out.

Packages beat up, left out in rain, left when it says signature required and so on. Sign on my door says" UPS/FEDX please knock, please dont leave packages" and they never do knock and always do leave packages.

And that was only this week!!!

FedX is much better and the girl that delivers to me is quite cute in a mannish sort of way.

I've never heard of anybody tipping one of these folx. Their job entails getting package to your door, nothing else. We're not talking about waiter/waitresses here, or the pern giving you a haircut.
They are at the tail end of many people handling your package, and they are the least likely to fvck up your package, unless you are a complete a$$hole to them all the time.

UPS employees, I have heard, have an extremely fvcked up mgmt to deal with; that doesn't excuse the pkgs being crushed, but it does explain the general attitude.

My (usual) UPSdriver says management is pretty care free with the drivers. That's why she's always high when she comes to my door. It's the line rats that get all the abuse, according to her. I hear it's Fedex that has their employees by the jewels.

UPS is awful around here. Half of the time, they deliver to the wrong house. When they actually deliver to my house, he knows to get outta there before I make it to the door.

Fedex is totally opposite of UPS in my area. The Fedex driver will always have me sign, even if a signature is not required. Too bad I miss them sometimes and I have to wait another day for them to come back.

Yeah my UPS guy (who seems like a nice guy, but...) dreaded me. They weren't allowed to drop packages off at my apt complex (?!?) and of course I work 10-7 like all good computer guys... so I'd always miss the first 2 or 3 notices of delivery and then I'd have to pick it up at the warehouse.

Well anyway one week I'm waiting for something really important, and I'm home ALL week at 5pm. The next week I get a &quot;we tried to deliver&quot; notice in the mail. Turns out the guy had decided to just STOP leaving me little yellow notes, he figured since I was never there why bother.

Then later, I was waiting for a package the DAY I MOVED OUT... I just happened to see the truck and I was like &quot;hey man, you got my package? You'll be happy to know this is my last day here&quot; and he's like &quot;OH! Hey.. yeah, I thought you already moved!&quot; ... which might explain why my last package from buy.com was returned. Why my UPS guy decided I had moved out and took it upon himself to return some of my mail is beyond me.

BUT... in Florda, their job does suck, driving around in a brown metal box delivering heavy packages. I'm always nice to the guys, but it IS their job... and yes, I too think they make plenty of $.

I give my UPS driver a nice cash Christmas bonus each year. He does a HELL of a lot more for me during the year then he's really supposed to, so he earns it.

I don't tip, they leave all of my stuff sitting on my front porch. It is all supposed to be signed for. I am going to start to call and ask where my computer is next time they do that.

Just talk to him a bit, being a driver is boring (I have done it) and it helps to have a smiling face and a hello. Its also nice to have the girls like CattyKathy say hi to you
