do you tip UPS, FedEx guys?

I'm ordering a LOT of packages that will be delivered by UPS & FedEx. They'll probably be lifting a LOT of packages to my door

Do you think it's all right to tip them? If so, how much?

I never tip my UPS guy. A friend of mine used to work for UPS,on the loading belt, and he said they made &quot;mad money&quot;

Those UPS drivers make more money than a lot of computer programmers. Working 12-hour shifts, with time-and-a-half after 40, does wonders to your salary. I've heard of some guys making $60G+ just from delivering packages. It's a pretty unfulfilling job, but it pays.
No need to tip them, but if you want, offer him a drink or something.

I'm convinced my UPS driver is a pot head. She always comes to the door with shades on but I can see through them. Her eyes are definately the eyes of a herb connoisseur. She told me that she's been a UPS driver for over 19 years now and that she makes a ton of cash.

I don't tip them, but I always give the driver a bonus during Christmas since he comes by at least once a month to deliver me stuff. They do get paid well, but if I tip a waitress for bringing me food, I think I should tip the UPS man who delivers my 21&quot; monitor and stuff like that.

No tipping, but I do buy both my mailman and my regular UPS driver Christmas gifts (just some restaurant gift certificates). I get a lot of packages, many of them big and heavy - so I appreciate the time they spend hauling them to my door and bringing them in my house.

I really like my UPS guy - he's almost always got a joke for me and we're on a first-name basis now, since he's been handling my route for about 2 years. The mailman's a jackass, but he tends to get snitty and not go out of his way to deliver any larger packages if I don't play nice with him.

I never see the UPS man. I usually get home after the package is delivered or if I'm home all I hear is a knock and the package left by the door by the time I open the door.
