When you go shopping for clothes, do you try them on to see if they fit and how you look in them before you buy?

Have you ever considered that numerous other people before you may have tried on those same articles of apparel. Some of those people could have body lice, scabbies, crabs and many other crawly things on their bodies that transfer themselves to the clothing you are trying on? Retailers take great pains to make sure that clothing that has been tried on is placed back on the rack in what appears to be unused condition, so you can't tell if 15 people before you have tried something on.

Just curious.

So do you avoid the cracks on sidewalks when you walk outside and bring your own silverware to restaurants?

Yes, for the price I'm paying for, I always try them on before I buy them.

Hopefully, people who buys clothes from the same place doesn't have lice, crabs, or herpes...etc

Probably brings a portable toilet around with him too. Public restrooms are filled with salmonella and other foul bacteria.

Yes, I try on thiungs that aren't undergarments or T-shirts.

Guess what: I've never gotten parasites or infections from trying on clothing.

Cracks in the sidewalk don't bother me as a general rule. They do become unsightly if there are weeds growing out of them, though.

I don't believe salmonella is transmittable through the skin of the buttocks and I don't recall addressing the subject of bacteria. I was referring to the crawling parasites than people can carry on their bodies.

From time to time, I try on condoms before I buy them out of some futile hope they will fit tighter than the last time. :Q

Shouldn't it be other way around?

No, because if the same size fits tighter, it means it has more surface area to cover.

You FREAK! There's probably more bacteria and other undesirable creatures on your HAND than there is on a shirt at the store.

Well, usually guys would complain about how it is always too tight that it's cutting off the blood circulation. So I'm just suprised to hear something about IT being too small that Billy falls off.

I'm a freak for asking a question? Are you a PFY? You sound like one.

My subject addressed crawling things that exist on some unclean peoples bodies. I referred to crabs, scabbies, body lice and the like. Bacteria do not come under that classification.

Perhaps you should endeavor to graduate fromn the 4th grade before you start growing pubic hairs on your scrotum. Stick to the subject.

Never thought about it, but I would imagine the possibilities of "catching" something from trying on clothes is probably about as likely as winning the lottery. Yes I try them on first why would I want to purchase something take it home only to find out I got to drive back to the store to return/exchange the item. In twenty seven years I've never heard somebody caught something from some clothes...

remember that wearing underwear makes the problem a lot worse
ps. i try on clothes with underwear on so don't shudder when you try on those pants you like

Hell no. Wastes time. I hate shopping. Just give me the size 11 shoe, the 32 long levis 557s, large shirts... that's about it.

If they're familiar clothes/brands I've bought before, no. If they're new clothes/brands that I haven't literally sized up yet, still no. I hate those dang dressing rooms. I have my recipt, and look for every opportunity to go drive somewhere!

EDIT: As a sidenote on the original post, most clothes I buy are on a shelf, so I grab mine mint from the bottom of the stack.

you worry too much for a guy named HAPPYpuppy.

I don't try on stuff at the store, unless my current pants are getting tight at the waist or it is a new article of clothing that I have not previously tried on before.

and sweaters, I always try on sweaters.

If its just a t-shirt or a sweater then I usually just hold it up to myself and see if the arms are too long, but most things I try on. Its too much hassle to have to take it back to the store and get it swapped if it doesnt fit.

I always wash clothes before I wear them properly anyway, often they are creased from being screwed up in the carrier bag.

Nearly alwayas. But sometimes if I can't be bothered and the item is relatively cheap then I don't bother but this is hardly ever. If I buy something I make sure it fits properly.

Yes I do! I have to. Half the time, nothing fits anyhow! I do think about nasty bugs on the clothes, but I try to convince myself that in the stores I stick with, people are like myself - clean!
