NEC Multisync 19" CRT, high quality, far superior to any LCD I could get for double the price.

and double power usage but it's all good

Price-Performance Ratio CRTs win everytime, fine they use more power, are bigger (and many argue uglier), heavier and can easily double as space heaters, but who cares CRT prices are so low (even for the highest quality) that if you have the space CRTs are tough to beat.

Good CRT now cost more than good LCD of similar size. LCD prices are dropping like a rock and will continue to do so while new CRT prices will remain steady or go up.

LCD prices are dropping I give you that but I can find a great (NEC FE991) 19" CRT for under $250 if you can find a me a similar quality LCD for anywhere near that I'll be amazed

NEC FE991 is decent 19" CRT but not great. You can get decent LCD like Dell 1905 for around $250 when on sale.

Good CRT like Mitsu 2070 will run you around $500-600. Good LCD like 2001FP or 2005FP will run you around $350-450.

Untill I can afford an Apple Cinema or Eizo, I will stick with my Compaq P1220 (Diamatron apreture grill).

I use it for graphic design and photos.

VX1120, easily better than 2001FP

Yes when the CRT was new.

it is still in great shape, just every bit as good as brand new ones i have seen. i really hope organic LEDs turn out to be great and take over so i wouldnt have to plunge my money into worse looking LCDs.

Yeah, show me the 2005FP for 350....

More like 400-550, and then only closer to $400 when you can get one of the good deals. Fact is, the CRT is still going to provide much better image quality, better colors, and better for gaming/movies (not counting fact that 2005FP is widescreen). Don't kid yourself. I have an LCD too, but if I had the space and didn't move my computer around much, I'd definitely have a CRT.
