Do you use a handheld device? (CE device, palm device) If so, what brand?

Like the title says.
I've worked on hardware development teams for both types. I was just curious which types some of you have and what you like about them.

Palm V. The size. It is quite small and pretty good battery. Still I would like a better screen and more memory.

What I really want is an all in one device.

Cell phone/internet
MP3 player
PDA

Ladies accessory: "Personal Massager"

I have an Windows CE HP 620LX (looks like a super tiny color laptop). I probably would buy a color Palm-compat. device now if I was buying again, but I mainly use MS Word on it, so who knows.

I tried to resist... but the temptation was too strong!

Palm IIIxe. What I like about it is it's not my PC. I don't want it to play MP3s (I'd rather get a dedicated MP3 player unless the Palm had like 6GB of storage and would let me listen while I work on a Palm app), I don't want it to watch videos (Don't spend enough time travelling on the bus to make it worthwhile) and I don't really need colour (it's a luxury, my next one will have it but it's just their for the aesthetic factor). I like it because it gets the job done in 20 seconds. The less I have to actually use my Palm, the more valuable it is to me. Weird, but that's what I want - something that gets me organized in an unobtrusive way. On the other hand, if I wanted to be stuck on a computer of some sort all day I'd probably buy a PocketPC - they've got the cool gadget factor going for them.

I use a Visor Deluxe (of course see sig), which is very similar to the Palm IIIxe but with a slightly older OS, but also with an expansion port. My fave is the Visor Platinum. I'm not a big fan of either the Palm IIIc or Visor Prism, but the Prism wins out there. The PocketPC machines are better suited for colour, but I don't like the high price.

The TRGpro is fine, but it doesn't have as much support (but it is Palm OS), and it costs quite a bit for what you get.

I use my phone Samsung 8500, can mark the calendar with schedules, and check my email, and news. I had a palm before, and I had a Toshiba Libretto which is a pretty kick a$$ minilaptop. But got rid of both. Kind of want my Libretto back though.

Compaq aero 1500 Pocket PC
What do I like about it. It has microsoft OS on it Nah, actually PocketPC is nothing special.
I got this thing for free after working for Compaq this summer. It's B&W, has good battery life, really good handwriting recognition. No symbols and crap. I even have the transcriber installed, so it recognizes complete words and sentences written across the screen. The thing I like most is pocket outlook. Syncs with my PC outlook like a charm. Contacts, tasks, calendar. Really nice.
One thing I hate about Pocket PC handhelds is that they all have different chips with different instruction sets, so programs aren't even interchangeable across all pocket PC machines. Aero Pocket PC has a 70 Mhz RISC CPU, while iPaq handheld has a 200 Mhz ARM CPU. So programs aren't compatible even across one brand

I just got a Sanyo 4500 phone. It does scheduling, check email, surf the web, and even alows me to talk to other people.

If it wasn't for the constant scroll on the mini-screen or the lack of a WAP AT, this phone would be all I ever wanted. But it will do for now.

DIFFERENT SUBJECT

Where can I find the self-stick transparent plastic protector for the screens?

I saw it somewhere, but I can't remember if it was B&M or Web.

Palm IIIxe, it gets the most bang for the buck IMHO.

My gf is getting a Palm IIIc which I think is a bit much (I think color is overkill on a PDA) but she got it for REALLY cheap so that's cool.
