Yep I wear a watch. Just a cheap Fossil watch I got at their outlet stores. Been going for about 3 years though so it's been good. Considering a fitbit of some type though. There's one I read in USA today that charges $1/mo for the sub and they send you the the device.

Edit: I wear mine on the left wrist face up. For some reason, my pops wears his face down so he has to turn his wrist over. TMI?

Yes. I prefer an analogue clock to a digital one. Plus it's easier than having to whip out my phone just to see what time it is.

I have a Seiko Chronograph, which I've owned for many years. Wear it daily. I feel naked if I leave the house without it.

Yes, I have worn one every day since I was 7 years old.

This thread needs a poll.

Same here. I've been wearing a watch every single day since elementary school. It's gotten to the point where it feels weird if I don't have one on.

People tell me that they don't wear a watch because they "already have a cell phone". I always laugh at them. Digging into your pocket, pulling out your phone, and turning on the screen to tell time is nowhere near as elegant as simply glancing at your wrist.

I've entertained the idea of buying a smartwatch, but there is something alluring about the physical presence of watch hands, sitting on top of a traditional mechanical movement. Especially in an automatic, where you can often see the rotor and the gears moving around inside the case.

More importantly, I don't have to plug in and charge a regular watch every 24 hrs (an idea which I find absurd)

Nonsense.

I agree. I'm 39 and I feel naked if I leave the house without a watch on. Taking my phone out is indeed far less elegant than a quick look at a handsome timepiece. Plus it's one less chance for you to drop your phone and break it. It really is far more efficient. I check time on my watch many times a day. it's not only there for show. It gets used dozens of times a day. It is also a piece of jewelry as well.

Have a nice Seiko and Citizen Eco-Drive I've been wearing for years. Recently started collecting watches. Bought a box to hold 12. Up to 5 so far. Nothing crazy expensive. Stuff between $150-$300 is my budget for a new watch until I get to 12.

Yes, because I bought a moto360.

But I wore watches before that. Usually just cheapo Walmart Timexes because I'm kind of hard on them, but I am being more careful with my M360.

I bought a Rolex from a little girl who was selling watches in a bar in Bangkok, Thailand.

I hope it's a Rolex.

Last watch I had was a Moto 360. Before that I have to go back about 10 years to the days when I didn't own a cellphone.

I own 4 nice watches that I rotate on a daily basis a work. For weekends, I wear a cheap throw-down digital watch.

The only problem I have with my cheap timex digital watch is that I got bug spray on it during a fishing trip and the plastic was eaten by the spray so its hard to read now.

I dump my watches in my nightstand after daily use. I need to find a better solution for that, but at the same time, I don't want them on "display."

My oldest and most valuable watch is a gold timex from 1968. The watch is gold and the Speidel stretch band is gold filled. Its retro classy. my grandfather gave it to me in 1972. Still works. Old windup watch.
