DOA: Xtreme Beach Volleyball!!!!

Mary, mother of Jesus this game rocks the house so F___ing hard I got dizzy and passed out!!!

1) Physics: Outstanding
2) Graphics: Superb
3) Sound: Ummm, Playing volleyball to my own MP3's??? Unbelievable
4) Girls: What the hell do you think?
5) Gameplay: 10 on a scale of 1 to 10

I've heard the same thing about XBV from many other folks, which makes Gamespot's review score of 6 out of 10 for XBV seem like a total PS2 fanboi hackjob. :frown:

The only person I've heard playing this game, was some guy who lives with his parents even though he is over 30 and has never had a date. He is loving the game, but he loves every game with a girl in it.

I won't judge the game because I havn't played it, but I seriously question your gameplay scale if beachball is a 10.

I hear if you save up like 10mil, you can buy the best suit in the game which is some uber skimpy venus suit. Thats what this friend has been working towards since he bought the game. Sounds almost depressing...

Say what u will guys...but make no mistake, the gameplay that Techmo has accomplished with this title is ambitious and extremely well executed. Astonishingly easy to begin yet very difficult to master. I play competitive beach volleyball during the summers where I live and this game SMOKES!!!!!

Scenario:

1) Its pouring down rain outside and cold
2) My best friend is over
3) The wifes are out shopping
4) We have two 22 oz 34 degree coors lights poured into frozen 22 oz glasses
5) Fire up DOA: Xtreme beach volleyball w/custom MP3 1980's dance music on the good ol' Panasonic 53" HDTV and Klipsch 5.1 optical DD 5.1 setup...

Life is so damn good!!!!

I screwed up and didn't follow 3) wives are out. My wife let me have it for playing a "pervert game" as she called it. Have to wait till shes out shopping again till I can play it again. It was pretty cool...gameplay. Definitely make for the Japanese though.

As much as I enjoy volleyball games I've decided it would probably be better for my health to wait for the Sega Volleyball game to come out. My wife's 14 year old brother is over at the house alot and I don't need to incur her wrath from him playing the game. I don't let him watch rated R movies with anything resembling sex in them so it would be kind of hypocritical of me to let him play this game.

I also have an infant son and I'm sure the wife wouldn't appreciate that either. She already lets me have it over a couple of my more gory games and the occasional anime movie/tv show I watch.

I pre-ordered this game from Tecmo and they have yet to send my copy. For tips on this game go toTecmo DOAXBV forum. There you will find a lot of people who won't make fun of your taste in gaming.

granted, the graphics and physics are smoking, but the game just sucks. it is extremely repetitive in that, you wake up and go play volleyball or jump around on little sponge plateforms for money. after about an hour of messing with it and saying "IS THAT IT?" "IS THAT ALL YOU DO?" i switched it off and attempted to break it. i guess for the guy that hasn't had a date in 30 years, it could give him some stimulus, but no thx...


and the 100 hour reward, is a thong and tight bikini top. woohoo!! ................go to a friggin strip bar..

Actually....I really like beach volleyball so it works for me even if men played....the fact that its girls is just a bonus. Besides.... its fun!
