Doc Martens Shoes for $70! Normally $130+

Gary Olen of the Sportsmans Guide has done it again. He has wheeled and dealed his way into a load of Doc Martens! Compare a $70 price tag to their usual $130 price tag and I believe you will agree it is a huge savings!

I thought these things were really expensive. Several people that I know that bought them claimed they were well over a hundred bucks. If I'm wrong then sorry. My bad. Personally I wear Rockport myself.

sells all sorts of Docs for around $40 (incl. s/h), and they usually have lots of sizes available. Don't let the name fool you; they specialize in providing shoes to people with unequal sized feet but you can of course get 'em as normal pairs.
I got some and they came quickly and fit fine (it helps if you already know what size docs you wear though(they usually are sold in the US with only the European size printed inside the shoe).
The only odd thing was that they were shipped in some funky old egg roll supplier box (w/ the original doc box inside).
Go figure.

having worn dm's for over 12 years now, i should warn everyone that you're going to get what you pay for nowadays... i still have two pairs that are close to 10 years old and the leather is just fine on both of them (one are black steel-cap and the other are oxblood, polished alternately with red and black polish for the antiqued look, both 10-eyelet boots). these days, docs are designed to fall apart after a couple years, which is why you can find them in every mall, and the real underground shops which used to sell them won't touch them anymore. if you want a good pair of boots, go with gripfast. they'll last you longer, and they're just as comfortable.

I remember that in my high skool they banned colored shoe laces for gang affiliation. Only black and white shoe laces are allowed.

I've been wearing doc's for about 5 or 6 years now. They're great, feel great and last forever. The weakest part is the shoelaces, which are pretty hard to find also. The shoes normally do sell for above $100, but beware the sizes are UK sizes, which are one less than the same size in US i.e., a UK 9 = US 10

they're not that cheap in London, maybe it depends on which Doc you get. I bought a pair of the wingtip oxfords at the big Docs store in Covent Gardens a few years ago and they were like a 100 bux. They are wearing out well too, lotsa life left.
