dockers - sweatpants for men

i hate that they are acceptable in workplaces but jeans are not. they are stupid and i hate them.

Jeans are totally acceptable where I work. I think the dress code here is that you have to wear pants and a shirt of some type.

Not a fan of khakis but I do wear them one/twice a week. I mostly have Perry Eliss/Chaps etc....no dockers. I bought many over the years and they don't last long/wear out quick.

My 10-15 Marshall or TJ Maxx bought Perry Eliss are AT LEAST 5+ years old

I like the non-iron dockers slacks. I used to wear them daily until I started just wearing jeans. When we start working back at HQ in the city I'll probably have to go back to dockers.

Kohls has Haggar pants dirt cheap all the time, but usually in odd colors. I have 3 pairs of green Haggar pants

Pretty much this. Just about everyone in my office wears jeans and t-shirts. If it's extra hot in the summer, most of us wear shorts.

I typically avoid Dockers, due to the fuddy-duddy image they impart.

However, I recently bought 3 pairs of these fine corduroy rusty-orange Dockers. I picked up the first pair for $32, the second for $24, and the third for $17. They are very comfortable and a flattering fit. Not a full leg, and tailored to the crotch, nor are they as high-waisted as they appear in the photo. They do tend to run long on the inseam though.

The bold color is a stretch for me, but I decided to experiment because the fit and comfort was exceptional. Who wants boring beige? It's not a popular color so its been discontinued.

I'm trying to follow my own advice, which is "If you find a clothing item you love, buy more than one!" Frankly that's kind of hard to do because it feels like wasting money.
