ok, some pics she looks much older and others she looks so young, like the one in the OP.

dr. who tanked after eccleston. their target audience has gone from young-at-heart to little kids to potted plants.
I liked Tennant too, but since Mofatt took over I'm forced to agree with you. RTD kept things exciting, even if he did abuse Deus Ex Machina like no other. Since Moffat/Smith, I've never been so bored with Doctor Who. I didn't even bother to watch the season finale this time around.
Karen has no body shape.

Billie Piper FTW
Karen has good legs and is overall quite good looking, but you're right, she doesn't have much of a body shape. Piper was hotter, IMHO.
And I should point out that looks don't make the companion, Tate was awesome and clearly not even in same league as Pond, Jones, or Tyler.
That's a good point. Tate is underrated, I think. The first episode she was in struggled, but as a regular she hit it out of the park. Having someone who could convincingly tell the Doctor to shut up worked out well.
that Jenna Louise whatever looks like she's 10 years old...
My thoughts exactly. I'd never believe she's 25, she looks so young...

I for one, am looking forward to them getting rid of Pond. I don’t care for the constant focus on Rory and Amy. With a new companion I’m hoping we’ll get back to focusing on the Doctor, rather than this Coupling in Space I keep watching.

I have a thing for Karen Gillian and like Amy Pond, but Amy/Rory storyline is getting a bit long in the tooth. New blood should be a nice change.

i really liked the xmas episode this year, and i have a theory it's because of the lack of amy and rory. i think smith was really able to come into his own as the doctor without those two hanging around. perhaps we'll see him really take over the role after they are gone for good.

The new Moffat series started with the Doctor landing in Amy's backyard, and essentially going through a huge chunk of her life. That and she's the first face he sees after dying. In the "new" Doctor Who series (since Billie Piper and Eccleston), I can't think of any companion who has been tied to the Doctor so tightly. For example, the Doctor just dropped on Rose "randomly", Tate randomly appeared in the Tardis, and <can't remember her name> was another "just happened to be there and off they go" companion. So, it makes sense that Amy (and Rory) are such a big part of the show.

I loved the first series with Eccleston, but lost some interest through to the end of Tennant's run. Reruns of the Christmas specials had me hooked, but once Moffat and Matt Smith took over, I started watching the show religiously. I found Anderson's stories a bit rehashed/boring and hard to connect to.

Series 7 trailer. Also known as shots from the first-episode because they only started filming a month ago:
