Today I tried to put together my new system based on a newly purchased NF7-S. Unfortynately the board doesn't post. When I hit the switch in the back, the red led comes on. When I turn the PC on, the green led lights up, I hear the drive spinning for a sec, all fans are working but no post. So I took the board out of the case and started testing.
Setup:
NF7-S
Barton 2500+
2x256 Gail 3500
Seagate Barracuda V SATA
OC Radeon 9700 Pro Level II
Swiftech 462
1. I replaced RAM with Crucial 256MB stick (2100) - No change.(I tried all 3 slots)
2. I replaced Radeon with GF3 - no change.
3. I replaced the HDD with a IDE Cuda IV - no change.
4. I replaced Enermax PSU with no name PSU - no change.
5. I replaced a bios chip (survival kit from excaliber.com) - no change.
I didn't replace the cpu, but I tested it afterwards in a different system and it worked fine.
I'm out of ideas here.
Normally I would just RMA the board, but I purchased it just before I moved to Poland (would take forever to ship it + possible custom fees) and now I'm stuck with fine parts and a crappy board.
