Does 3dmark2001 always say 60hz in save results?

Does 3dmark2001 always say 60hz in save results? I am finially getting a decent score, Now Im not sure if its
because I took out one stick of my memory (3 Banks b4 @256meg each)......(Now 2 backs of 256meg)
because after I put on my ramsinks it would hit the memory slot or did I finially get the powertools settings right?
Here are my saved results, if someone could post theirs it would be appreciated.

Turn off vertical sync. Vertical sync makes your video card work at the same refresh rate as your monitor. In other words, if your monitor's refresh rate is 60Hz, your video card will do a maximum of 60 frames per second. The option should be in with your video card display settings, or you might have to change driver versions.

It is off, I dont know what to do now. The Games bechmark anywhere from
40fps-195fps but 3dmark2001 still says its running in 60hz mode, is that possible?

it is correct.. i does stay at 60Hz

all 3D games run at 60Hz.. no matter wat frequency u set in windows.........

Actually its the winXP problem! All the video card will default to 60 hz. The only way to fix the problem is to get third party utilities, like power strip "$29.95" it can force the maxium refresh rate. It works on all major cards like voodoo, Ati, kyro, and nividia. But there is a free utilities nvidia
like demon mentions. Rest of the card U have to buy Powerstrip. You have 30 day trial before You buy. I don't remember website but do a search on yahoo for powerstrip.

Where? I would like to get one for my radeon 8500 then I could migrate this computer to XP

Now that I take a closer look at your scores, it might be that the refresh rate is refering to just your monitor's refresh rate, and not your fps.

how could you get 117.7 fps if v sync is on and limited to 60 fps?

Here's a test, if you have quake3, turn on the fps counter using this: seta cg_drawFPS "1". It should be in q3config.cfg file in your quake3/baseq3 directory. If not copy and paste it into there and run a game. If the counter goes above 60, v sync is not enabled.

The FREE 60Hz refreash rate fix is HERE. Been using it since I got my XP installed. Works like a charm, and now I have my 100Hz back!
