Does any current Abit MB support on-die thermal diode?

Does anyone own one of these motherboard and verify that they do support thermal diode? I cannot find any information about thermal diode at the Abit site.

The information at Abit's SE6 page is very confusing:

Miscellaneous
1. Support STR(Suspend to DRAM)
2. ATX form factor
3. 1 universal AGP slot, 6 PCI slots and 1 CNR slot
4. Hardware monitoring - Including fan speed, voltages, System environment temperature,and one Thermal header for CPU or other temperature monitoring

The thermal header for CPU (2-pin connector) should not be needed if the MB supports on-die thermal diode. Do you have the SE6 MB? Do you use the CPUCool program which tells you the sensors used for T1, T2 and T3 measurements?

I am writing this on my Celeron300a/BX6 R2 machine and yes I can confirm that it does utilize the CPU on die Thermal Diode, I am going to buy another BX6-R2 and build up a Pentium III machine. Ron

I am very surprised that the SE6 got a 6.5 compared to the 9.0 of the Asus CUSL2. In your opinion, what sets them so far apart? Does Mike Andrews who reviewed the CUSL2 concur with your assessment of SE6?

although he reviewed the CUSL2 and I did the SE6, I did try my best to talk to him and make sure my scores correlate with his. In fact, my reviews generally go through him first to make sure everything is right.

If I were to say why the SE6 only gets 6.5:
1) the stability is far from cusl2, specially under 133 CAS2
2) it goes back to SoftMenu II
3) no special features like what the cusl2 has
4) layout

you should still notice it's still above average, but better than some other boards.

We always try to make sure we give out scores on the same basis (Anand, Mike, me), so hopefully the scores are comparable even if the reviews are done separately.
