I placed some thermal blackout curtains in my cart and a couple of 1800 threadcount microfiber sheets (I hate microfiber, but it would be for guests, so, meh). All were about 70% off.

exactly! Problem for me is that there are actually things I need right now, but they are more or less "permanent" things that require planning and color matching and quality assessment blah blah blah. I was thinking, hey, I could just get a bunch of junk for real cheap that will serve these purposes, but there is something unsettling about this stuff going for 70% off. And their Amazon product pages being littered with such phrasing: "Please enjoy Happy Dream home special life! these curtains are the dream life!" ...yeah, no engrish products for me. Stuff is probably sewn together with recycled medical waste.

I bought some clothes that really weren't on sale, because I needed them.

I don't really need a cheap Echo Dot, though... compared to Google Assistant, Alexa's AI is still pretty weak. Even Siri and Contana seem to answer questions better than it can.

I glanced at the deals throughout the day and saw nothing more than the normal junk they try to push. I saw more deals on Echo/Echo Dots/Fire, etc....stuff they have vested interest in pushing. The clothing deals and other electronics just didn't jump out at me because I've got all of that stuff I need.

Thanks, my wife wanted to buy some shoes locally and Amazon had a similar price. We padded the order with some other products and used the $30 off $60 by redeeming $0.01 MR, totally worth it.

Picked up a Google Home on Ebay with their deal against Amazon. Only thing I bought from Amazon was a TP Link outlet switch for the Home to run a lamp. My wife added about $50 worth of random stuff.

Tablets are the shit of the shit. I never understood why they took off to begin with.

I bought one for the sole purpose of fapping while traveling. That's about as good as they are for.

Opened a ticket and complained that I did not get my $10 prime day credit for using Prime Video for the first time on an approved device and the rep awarded me a $10 courtesy credit manually on the spot. A day later I get an email saying there were some technical glitches in rolling out the $10 prime day credit to people that cashed in on the prime video promotion and that they were being issued now with their apologies, inadvertently resulting me in getting two separate credits. $20 for watching a free movie with my free prime student account isn't half bad!

Junk. Website layout and navigation I find is really poor for navigating mass sales and finding stuff you may be interested in. Amazon works best for me when I know exactly what I want, look it up and then buy it. It's a shitty website to browse.

Also Prime Day sales are disappointing. I have found good stuff on Boxing Day though. Scored a really nice deal on 2 DSLR cameras and a lens last year.

I always felt I was alone in this but... I agree in full. I find their navigation for just "Hey, I have money, take it by showing me something good" is HORRIBLE. The fact that I just find myself non-stop just clicking next page. next page. next page. tells it all. It really is a shit site for navigation.
