My math is a different formula I guess.
colt mccoy - more wins as a starter, more touchdowns, more bowl wins as a starter, more completions, more passing yards, better completion percentage, better qb rating. i could go on.
mccoy > tebow
Tebow has 105 touchdowns 2006-2008 (passing:66 rushing:43)
McCoy has 99 touchdowns 2006-2008 (passing:83 rushing:16)
Tebow>McCoy
Tebow's combined QB rating from 2006-2008 = 183.2
McCoy's combined QB rating from 2006-2008 = 159.1
Tebow>McCoy
EDIT: I did see Colt McCoy with higher numbers in one category that stands out.
Tebow interceptions 2006-2008 = 9
McCoy interceptinos 2006-2008 = 32
I could go on, but I don't feel the need too prove any further that your pulling your shit from your ass.

Nah, all it proves is that the Big 12 sucks. You're reasoning as for SEC being the best is flawless then, right?
They have rarely ever had good defenses.
I mean, I love my school and all, and our loss to Texas made me miserable for the third year in a row, but I cannot say I didn't see it coming. We didn't field the strongest team this year, for some reasons I can easily figure out and others that allude me (mostly returning seniors from a strong team last year)... but to put that much of a fight up against Texas, to where a miracle final moment touchdown gave them the victory. They don't have a strong defense, or else our team would have looked like trash most likely... we haven't fared well with strong defenses recently.

UCLA beat Tennessee at the starting of the year
Pac-10 went undefeated in all of their bowl games
Therefore, Pac-10 is the best conference in college football!
EDIT: See how easy it is to act like an SEC fan?
The Pac-10 won the National Championship for the 3rd year in a row? Or 5 out of the last 10? Yeah, you act like a Pac-10 fan, stupid and all.
I think it's been prove than FL stopped an OK team that had scored 60 points in their last 5 games. But, lets let the Pac-10 retards speak up.

Here is what I want to know.....I witnessed it with Auburn fans.
When did college football fans become conference homers? My team is Clemson University. I do not care about the ACC more than I do my tigers. When Clemson played in the peach bowl a year ago, we lost to Auburn. Most of the time you expect fans to be proud of their TEAM.
Instead, as we exited the stadium, all the fans could do was cheer "SEC, SEC,SEC". I mean really? Really? You are so proud of your conference?
When did conference loyalty become such a big deal? There is only one team I care about. It is the Clemson Tigers. I don't care about the conference. Will I discuss the merits of each conference strength? Sure. In football the SEC is the best conference hands down. Just like in basketball, the best conference is the ACC. In baseball, the best conference recently is the ACC. But that doesn't mean every team in the best conference is worth a sh*t. Once again in football this year, Clemson was extremely subpar. We played an SEC middle of the road team in South Carolina. South Carolina plays in the mighty SEC. We stomped their asses once again.

The big 12 does not suck.
Kansas won their bowl, missouri won their bowl, Nebraska won their bowl, Texas won their bowl.
hm.. 6 teams represented from the Big 12 and only 2 lost (OK and OKState)

stop using a handful of games to levy unjustified claims regarding entire conferences
there is no transitivity is sports, all you have is the outcome of a single game. all you know is that on day X, team A was better than team B.

Where did these numbers come from? This is what I found on Yahoo sports:
Tebow's combined QB rating from 2006-2008 = 124.1
McCoy's combined QB rating from 2006-2008 = 107.8
And a major key to these numbers you left out:
Tebow's Pass attempts 2006-2008 = 681
McCoy's Pass attempts 2006-2008 = 1176
Yes, Tebow has more total touchdowns, but we are talking about the QB position, which means he should be a better passer than a runner. When considering the future of both (i.e., prospect as an NFL QB):
McCoy > Tebow

Stupid and all? One Pac-10 school can singlehandedly rape the SEC in academics, but really it's time to stop quoting small stats and using that to justify your conference as the top dog because clearly if you want to play this, I think there's plenty of stats out there to make the SEC look like a steaming pile of crap. *cough*Tennessee*cough*
I stand by my numbers, here's two different sources.Originally posted by: brunell8

As a college (and future) quarterback: McCoy > Tebow
