Does anyone have any "go-to" sites, to buy HDDs from? (Besides Newegg, Amazon, and ebay?)

Just wondering, if there are some "secret" sites that some people go to to buy HDDs from. (CDW comes to mind, for bigger / server-oriented drives. Superbiiz is another one.)

I was looking for some New HDDs, in smaller capacities, and I ended up hitting up ebay for some. It's so hard to tell whether the drives that you are buying are in fact, NEW, and not just "new" (we've rolled back the SMART PoH odometer, but the SMART LOGS still show events from dates five years ago, as one review on a "new" HDD reported).

Edit: For USED and TESTED, are there any PC recyclers that sell lots of HDDs online, that don't otherwise sell on ebay?

B&H Photo. Although they carry mostly current drives, not ten year old refurbs.

Lately I've resorted to going to B&M's to pick up my drives in full retail boxes. Started doing that a few years back because it seemed like Newegg got a whole truckload of bad OEM drives or hired a terrible fork driver. Either one of those two happened or I had the worst streak of bad hardware luck in history. Had much better results with full retail packaged drives that ship with better protection. Usually pay a little more, but I frequent Office Depot for popular drives and use the rewards from purchases to make up for it. My local store almost always has a full range of WD Blacks and Reds, never really paid attention to Blues.

Never had a problem with ebay and I buy drives all the time there. Just bought 2 oem hgst He10's yesterday actually. Factory new, 2 year warranty. $290 each delivered.

HGST HE10's warranty is for 5 years / 2.5 million hours MTBF.
The warranty is also only good if you purchase via a authorized seller / retailer.

Larry, highly depends on what drive I get, I have gotten some from CDW / Newegg/ Amazon and others. Really pisses me off about Amazon, they don't give a crap, drive flops around.

Yeah these are OEM drives with 2 year warranty. To claim warranty I would have to go through the reseller. hgst won't honor it direct.
