Every once in awhile I'll watch a video but only in a locked down browser on my PC.... I wouldn't even consider viewing a link on my phone nevermind installing their spyware-app garbage.

They are embedded all over the Internet, I've never been to the site (is there even one?) or used the app.I can, and do avoid it. Maybe I'm just old, but what voice? I'm not familiar.
It's one of the places I never made an account, and don't feel the need to. I won't click links for vids there, I just don't care for most of the content.

You can't avoid tik tok, it's like a sodding virus all over the place. I absolutely don't have an account but that computer generated voice is all over the bloody place.
Mostly because they are not native English speakers. I knew an Indonesian girl who chatted with me using pretty understandable English but she couldn't utter more than a few words on voice chat. Don't know if she was using some sort of translation app.Ugh what the hell is with that trend anyway? Are people really too lazy to speak when they make a video?

What I just found out is there are 2-versions of TikTok. The Chinese version called Douyin which shows science experiments that kids can do at there home. They show museum exhibits, and educational videos. Plus, children are limited to 40 minutes per day on the platform. Now, compare that to American children and how they use TikTok. Hours and hours dedicated to watching mind numbing addictive short clips of the most stupid shit.
I believe the Chinese know what they are doing. Erode the values in the West. Especially in America. Make TikTok so addictive that it starts to influence American culture negatively. Then, watch America implode internally. While the Chinese are producing the next scientist, America will suffer from a popultion that is unable to focus and is self centered. Quite clever.
