Does anyone here have a Panasonic air conditioner unit?

I'm contemplating on purchasing a new A/C unit since mine is broke. It leaks water like no tomorrow. I know Panasonic makes decent air conditioner units. However I keep hearing that it will only fit into a slot made for it. Such as a hole in the wall via construction. My a/c unit fits into my window slot and I have this things that extend to cover the area that the a/c does not fit so that no outside air can come in.

Any idea?

Why don't you just ask the person at the store where you're considering buying it? Take a look at the packaging for clues?

Also, why focused on Panasonic? Most brands by now (technolody for an air conditioner hasn't changed substantially) would suffice (I'd look for whatever is on sale & has enough BTUs for the room I want to cool). If you're looking for brand recommendations, try Haier.

I know this should be in off topic but my inlaws have a Panasonic. The one they have does have a sleeve but it can still be mounted in a window. You just need to mount the sleeve first and then slide the AC in.

I got a Haier (small BTU one) that review are good.
Turn out it is too much noise (for my like) and it can not keep temperature very consistent. (when cooling on, very cold, but does not turn on for long period.) So the room feel nothing (just fan on) for long time and then very cold in a period of time....

depends on your model, im not sure about all of panasonics models but our panasonic unit can, if its more of a box shaped ac then most likely yes, but if its rectangle box then most likely no.

Go get a unit at Wal Mart, put it in your window and chill. The very notion that someone makes a window AC unit that doesn't fit in a window is just stoopid. Of course you have to make them fit, but if you can't figure it out you just aren't cool.
