IMHO, its a novelty, price wise it will not make sense, much like hybrid cars...
Not to be rude but do you actually have numbers/data to back this up? I'm not saying that you're wrong but I'm getting serious and need to know whether solar actually saves me money.

Sorry, I do not have any concrete stats that, but reading around on the internet, even the best case scenario says that it will take 14 years to break even in my state, if you lease or rent it will be even longer or maybe never. Here is one article. Mind you, these are best case scenarios not fully taking into account that even in Texas for a good 2 3 months its is so cloudy that the system will do nothing AND natural gas that we use to cook and heat is cheaper than electricity.

Not for me. One of the benefits of not buying is that the panels are maintained and warrantied by the company for the life of the lease
