Does anyone know what MSGSRV32 is?

there is some error with...
VxD Dynamic Link Call: RMQUASAR(01) + 000362AE to "0048" service 1

and it asks me if I still want to continue loading windows...advising me not to because it will go unstable. If I click yes it has a msgsrv32 error in Devcon.dll ...msgsrv will close... and the system freezes.

I can go into safemode...but I dont know what the problem is.
I uninstalled the program completely...and I checked the system components and there doesn't seem to be any error.

Anyone has any clue what this stuff is all about? I just want my computer goin again...
Oh...and the first time I started i had 2 cd's in my computer. One in my tdk 12x10x32 which was a blank...and a music cd in my samsung dvd rom drive...The first time i started it froze...so I took out the discs and restarted....then these messages started popping up.

Also...when my hard drive is being scan disked...it get's stuck for some reason...
ANy ideas?

I usually get that error when one of my PCI cards are acting up, especially my sound card. Try to reload all of your PCI drivers and see if that fixes the problem. Also try to change PCI slots to see if that helps.

hm...never had this problem before tho...and the system devices have no conflicts.
I'll try rearranging...but I'm skeptical on its improving this current situation.

Whoa...thanx...its been very helpful. It's narrowed down my problems.
I have the hollywood plus dvd decoder card...and rmquasar supposedly has something to do with the dvd rom drive and the hollywood plus..

And the msgsrv32 with the devcon.dll might be my sound blaster live gamer.
I'm gonna try reinstalling these drivers...

Whoa...I didn't have to go through the whole process of reinstallation...
I just restored the computer to the state it was in before "simple DNS" installation...and now it works perfect again.

Well that's one thing down...3 computers and a laptop to go...hehe. I love my job
