Does anyone listen to jazz/blues anymore?

I know of John Coltrane but that's pretty much it.

Are there any other popular jazz/blues bands out there that you can recommend?

Although in traditional jazz I prefer instrumentals over vocal songs.
It has transformed and become mixed into other genres, which makes for some interesting mixes.

I'm listening to The Cinematic Orchestra atm. A mixture of nu/acid jazz, downtempo, trip hop & electronica. Good stuff.

Going to see a Chicago jazz-funk fusion band play at a local bar tomorrow night.

I do. Couldn't tell you who many of the artists are though. I just throw on XM72 or the local jazz station and listen away. It's my morning music. I've been meaning to add some more albums to my collection. Got Blue Train and Milestones by Coltrane and Davis respectively. The latter is the 180gram limited edition. I have digital stuff from Frank Sinatra and Glen Miller.
