Does anyone play Progress Quest?

Dang, I'm in a different realm from you guys... I'm a level 77 robot monk on Knoram, so I don't think I can join the TeAm.

It seems the amount of time it takes to advance a level increases at a ridiculous rate. I'm thinking about a month at least to get to 78, maybe more!

I wonder if this will actually be popular enough, to where someone can put daily stats (level ups and the such).

I believe this could actually boost our DC production if we near the top of the guild rankings. We would be headlining the guilds, and people would check us out, and then take interest in our DC programs.

WOW set up the guild yesterday. Went to bed and to work today. Just got home and bamm we are really getting up there in numbers, strange though it says we have 17 but only 10 are listed.

I have it running on 2 systems mostly to find out if cpu speed figures into it at all. onebadv6 is a Athlon 1200mhz and onbadv6 part2 is an XP-2100. We'll see if the part2 overtakes the first one.

I think he can still make progress, just it won't be updated with the server (your stats for ranking) if you aren't online.

I was in the same boat, so i set up a bunch of characters that started with LK. I just added my home fleet to the 2 running it at work, so i'm running it on 10 or so. We'll see how this goes...

The Guild ranking seems to really depend on the levels of the characters more than the amount of chars.
For example there is a guild with more than two times our "points" with two members, 54lvl and 45. So as soon as we start getting higher level we will just fly past others.

(I had some random reboot with my comp. and I had to test which program did it. Dont worry it wasnt PQ but it took a lot of time so I fell a lot behind )

Also leveling seems to be faster with characters with good strenght. So if you make a new char. roll high str.

Dont hit CTRL B to find out your stats. Evidentially this is bragging about yourself and puts you to the bottom of your level ranking:disgust:

I've noticed that strength makes the biggest difference in leveling speed. You'll usually have one stat that soars above the rest, but it's not controllable. Higher strength means you can carry more, which means you have to make fewer trips back home to sell your stuff. This in turn means you have more gold to spend so you can spend it all at once instead of smaller purchases. I was "big" into PQ last year, but my interest trailed off as levels became very far apart. PQ Tray is a nice utility that lets you put PQ in the tray as opposed to having it take up space in your taskbar.
