Does everyone take out all their wisdom teeth?

I am just curious whether I need to take them out too, since ATOT have like a million people who had theirs taken out and it seems to have changed their lifes.


Do I need to have my wisdom teeth taken out? I am 22 and the wisdom teeth for the lower jaw seems to be perfectly fine. I have 18 on the bottom. And I also have eighteen on top. But the top ones seems to be a notch further up then the 2nd molar from the back.(same for both upper sides)

So discuss!



Edit: I just realise that I dont have to take out my wisdom teeth. Woppeee. U have no idea how thrilled I am that I dont have to take it out. Its like I just hit the lottery or something. I am even going to take my laundry out to wash

So what was it like when you first realise that you dont have to take out your wisdom teeth....save all the pain, painkillers, solid food, work, sleep and worst of all the freaking wisdom teeth.

He didn't say anything about the condition of his wisdom teeth. For all you know, they were growing out of his palate.

It seems pretty common now for dentists to recommend that everyone have their wisdom teach removed. Just like almost everyone seems to need some sort to teeth straigthening these days.

Put me down as one of the skeptics. I still have all four of my wisdom teeth; they've never erupted and have not caused any problems. I'm leaving them where they are.

whew,

I was sweating and having nightmares for like days since those post about taking out the wisdom. Whats worst is that it seems like a bazillion people are taking them out.

Some are enjoying the special *** that they get when they operate. Others are like no I dont take those painkillers.



I breath a sign of relive that I dont have to take out the wisdom teeth. Especially when I have enuff space for them. I rather them full then half empty.

im doing the same until my dentist says otherwise, heres hoping they wont say otherwise...im teh broke

The only reason I had mine taken out is because they were hurting. Alot of people talk about how painful it is to have them taken out but I barely felt any pain afterward. It wasn't bad at all...it felt alot better to have them out than it did to have them in. A couple of mine were impacted...and there was one or 2 that weren't hurting but I had them all pulled/cut out anyway because I didn't want to have to go back later to have the others pulled. The only bad thing about it was the numbess when I woke up(couldn't talk at all) and the bleeding. I bled for a couple of days.

1 out 4 has been reomved, I'll only remove the rest if they start acting up. My dentist says it's a good idea to get them out, but he also says as long as they don't bother me I don't need to, since they're not moving around inside my jaw.

I had them taken out before going to Argentina, as sort of a precautionary measure just in case...hurt for like a week and my face swelled up, but I had a lot of fun with the painkillers and the stitches they put in (playing with them with my tongue).

Still have mine... I'm almost 24. I guess that means they're staying.
