You know how Intel has hybrid mode for dual-channel RAM? Like say you have 8GB + 4GB sticks, it'll run dual for the first 4+4, then single-channel for the remaining 4GB on the 8GB stick.
Will the 1366 Tri-channel mobos do something similar?
I'm thinking of building a second computer in the house and my 1366 currently has 3x 2GB sticks. I'd pull out two of those for the spare machine, replacing them with 4 giggers. 4+4+2
Will it run tri for the first 6, dual for 4? Slow down to dual for all? Wig Out and go single-channel for all?
Thanks, experts!
