I've never seen a Rolex at Costco, but weirdly they do sell a couple of Jaeger-Lecoultre watches, including this beauty which I fully intend to own at some point - http://www.costco.com/Jaeger-LeCoul...ther-Strap-Men's-Watch.product.100244452.html

They have them at some, the closest one to me has never had one, but the one further has. Both are in Tustin though. They always seem to have a Breitling or even a couple. Just looked and they even have a $2400 or $2700 Invicta right now, I forget how much it was, signed limited edition one.

At Macy's, like many stores, typically the only time you'll find somewhat competitive pricing is during a sale. If you know they run, say, 20% off sales on watches on a regular basis, it would be foolish to pay full price any other time.

If I needed a "professional looking" watch by tomorrow, I'd just go somewhere with a generous return policy like Walmart, Target, etc. Buy something for under $100. Return it if you don't like it next week. Timex, Armitron, whatever. Unless you're showing off the name (which is pretty much the point of spending more than a couple hundred for a watch - pure vanity) or putting it under a magnifying glass, it will look as professional as most any other watch.

Just know what you're looking for. No digital watches. No yellow or orange or bright blue faces. White, cream, dark blue or black. No two-toned cases or bracelets, no plastic or rubber straps, no fake jewels. Either all silver or all gold metal. Metal bracelet or leather strap.

If you want something "dressy", skip the chronographs and go with as simple and un-busy of a watch as you can find. Something like this, under $60:

Hmm... people recommended Seiko, and to be honest, their Grand Seikos look very good.

I doubt they carry them in store but I think Macys sells Tag Heuer watches.

I have an automatic I bought a few months ago and am fairly happy with it. It keeps good time and looks nice on my wrist. They're fairly expensive though and don't seem to hold their value well. Probably better off getting a Rolex if you can afford it.

Get a Seiko 5 on Amazon. If you have a higher budget then maybe a Nomos or Grand Seiko. I have an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15202ST and no one knows what it is. When I wear Rolex a lot more people know but for the most part don't care.

This watch retails for $2800.

I'm a little freaked out at this picture. If this actually is your hand.... can you please explain the story behind your chopped off pointer finger? Cause there is something very wrong here.

I think it is because my finger is slightly bent. In reality my index finger is the same length as my ring finger.

I wouldn't say 'pure vanity' sapphire crystals usually start showing up about $300min, but more like 500-600. Plus there is a noticeable difference in build quality between a fossil and even something like a hamilton. But, yah the return on investment gets really questionable fast.
