I am using a Old Spice Deoderant (not Antipersperant) + Certain Dri at nights and am not sweating near as much as I used to.

I don't shave my pits but I do trim the hairs. The shorter the hair the better my antiperspirant works.

ditto here...great combination (old spice+certain dri) keeps the sweaty pits away

and dont shave if your goign to use certain dri...it will irritate the pors like crazy and you'll end up with a horrible rash...its not pretty and everyone will wonder why your going around with your elbows up in the air...

check out certain-dri as per the first reply. thats the most powerful stuff you can get without a Rx. it works wonders.

as for shaving, that will help w/ the odor, but not the amount of sweat. It may appear that you sweat more b/c there is no hair to cover up some of the liquid.

Okay, I trimmed them suckers down and it appears to have helped the last 2 days. It might be that the deodorant is getting on the skin now instead of just clinging on the hairs.

If not, I'll go get some certain dri. Thanks for the tips guys!

he will give you some drops to put under your arms. i had the same problem. i forgot what the medicine is called but i will check when i get home.

basically shower before you go to bed. make sure you dry off good before you apply the drops. apply a few drops to each arm pit. in the morning take another shower and apply deodorant as usual. it only took a few nights and i was fine. if it comes back where i sweat and the deodorant doesn't work then i apply again. i had the problem for a few years, got on the meds and for the past 3 years i only had to apply 3 times. basically the drops kills the bacteria that is growing in your arm pits.
