Does soda taste better out of a can or bottle?

Ughh waitress brought me a coke today at lunch. It was nearly transparent. I'm sure there is a steep learning curve associated with writing an order down and delivering food, but how do you not notice that you're basically bringing me club soda with some food coloring in it?

I was talking with a rep from coke a few weeks ago about this exact same thing. It's got to do with the containers they are stored in. Something to do with the thermal capabilities of glass, aluminum, etc.

I like cans better than plastic, plastic better than fountain (because of lack of mixing control). Then again, water is pretty good too.

Although the temperature of liquid inside is the same, aluminum is much higher in thermal conductivity.
The aluminum can feels much colder on your lips, so your mind thinks the liquid is colder as well.

It depends on time since packaged (bottled / canned). Cans hold their pressure and block all light, so they keep much longer. Bottles allow gas to escape and light to enter, possibly ruining the product inside.

If they are both fresh, no difference.

Glass all the way. Like, who doesn't like glass? They make it by starting a fire at the beach, rather than digging in a cave and putting it in a really shite oven.

Of course glass is gonna taste better. It's literally a transparent piece of the seaside.
