You guys are all debating the realism in this movie, when you fail to realize it is just a huge acid trip that ScarJo is having. She isn't doing any of that, she is just on drugs.
thisHmm, scientific bs... Scarlett Johansen... scientific bs... Scarlett Johansen...

I didn't see the movie, but maybe someone can clear something up..
1. Was she injected with drugs, or does she actually have a physical bag of drugs inside her?
2. If she can use 100% of her brain, why can't she do the simple surgery to remove the bag?
I'll watch it... I like movies like this. They're movies, I don't care if they're realistic enough, I just want to be entertained.
I don't think it's mind over matter, per se, but more or less mind with matter. Think of it as some sort of cognitive resonance deal where the more brain powers the drug unlocked, the more she is in tune with matters surrounding her. Everything has a frequency. No more farfetched than telekinesis. There is no spoon.Agreed. The mind over matter part is even more ridiculous.

Stupidity confirmed. Thanks for the review.I went and saw the movie yesterday. 6/10
Not a good movie, but definitely some pretty good entertaining scenes.
Answers to your questions (spoilers):
She (and some others) get cut open. Drugs in bags are inserted and then they are sewn up (all against their will). Their job is to get thru airports/customs at various locations, where they will be met by the crazy Asian gang peeps and the drugs removed.
Lucy gets kicked in the gut by some of the guys taking holding her before she goes to the airport (these guys are apparently not in the loop about the drugs), rupturing the bag and causing a reaction within her, unlocking MOAR CEREBRAL CAPACITY.
She eventually figures what is going on and tracks down professor bullshit, and she realizes to continues unlocking MOAR BRAINZ she must consume MOAR BLUE CRYSTALZ.
She then enlists the help of a police official and goes on the hunt for the remaining bags, which she proceeds to continue consuming, all in order to UNLOCK SUPER AMAZING GODMODE. No seriously, she basically becomes a god...
From the trailers, someone put a bag of this drug inside her and was planning on using her as a mule. It ruptures and is leaking insider her causing these effects.
At the point in which she forces someone to do surgery, it doesn't seem to be when she has reached 100% capacity. And, even if she knew how to perform the surgery, actually being able to remain lucid enough while doing it is highly unlikely.
This is correct and what happened. I was very disappointed in this movie. Im all for the impossible (I mean, I love XMen, Marvel movies, etc) but this movie was just badly put together. Its also short (90 minutes or so). The premise for the movie I think is sound, and the cast is solid. But the writing was too disorganized for it to be enjoyable.
This is directed by the guy that brought you not one, not two, but three movies about a tough guy transporter where the package was, you guessed it, a girl. Transporter 1, 2 and 3 all have identical plots. I am really in awe at how someone has written great movies like The Professional and The Fifth Element can come up with such crap sometimes...
I don't like movies that spread misinformation since people believe things that they hear (whether or not they are false.) To me, this Lucy looks like it is intended for stupid people, the same people who spread rumors that snopes and mythbusters constantly demolish.
So basically another 2012 movie.
yup.. Limitless with a hot chick
