Does the OS you run have an effect on your o/c?

I get the feeling that because I am running ME it is more difficult to get a good o/c, that it BSOD easier and is more sensitive to changes that may affect stability.

Is this just my perception or could there be any evidence to support this?

ME BSOD's all the time anyway... really tho, the OS you run does have an effect of stability, depending on how it handles errors. BeOS (god rest its beautiful soul) did this like a champ, and so I could OC a lot better with it than 98 on the same machine.
